The guy who always posts late to a thread?
The guy that replies to a dead thread and none of the original posters even exist on the forum for years?
Hmmm I saw Jessie as more of the prick guy. :nana:

I would like to try Butera's royal vintage #1 and #2, Robert McConnell's latakia flake, C&D's star of the east flake and McClelland's blakney's toasted latakia flake.
I just got mine in and they are awesome. Very heavy duty. Also they designed it so the wooden block in the bottom meets with the bottom of the draft hole. So no need to mud up the bottom of your cobs like some people do.
Yeah I bought one of each of them as soon as I saw the email. I've been wanting to buy an acrylic stem for a cob or two but when I saw these for $19.20 I had to get them.
OH jeez good luck with that. We tried getting one started near Danbury but couldn't seem to get anyone interested.
What part of CT are you in? There's a Hudson Valley pipe club up in Dutchess county NY. I haven't made it to a meeting there yet.

Hmm I'll have to give it a shot. I usually just run a few pipe cleaners through and wipe out the bowl. Once in a while I'll run a cleaner through with a dab of alcohol on it.
I'm a bit skeptical that running water through it will remove much gunk but I will give it a try.
I know Escudo for many is the king of Va/Per's but I personally find Escudo kind of bland and boring. Even very very well aged Escudo.
LBF on the other hand that sweetness does it for me. It's great with 3 or more years of age on it.
I received mine yesterday. It looks decent. It's a bit tough to pass a pipe cleaner though as the hole inside the mortise is higher up than the hole at the end of the tenon. Also the mortise is a bit deeper than the tenon. I'm not complaining as it was $20 but just thought I'd mention what I've...
Their products are pretty popular and hard to get. I had the same problem with Marlin Flake until some finally popped up on smokingpipes.com
I assume it's similar the issue with Esoterica and a few others like some of the F&T blends. They just can't keep up with demand.
Like JP the only time I don't open tins is because I have way way way too many opened or I'm waiting for them to be aged.
Afterwards the tins go in the garbage or find a different use. I did keep a couple of the Peterson annual tins like their summer, holiday and special reserve as I liked the...
