Comoy’s Extraordinaire 499 Restoration [Pic Heavy]

I believe I found the link to the article Al mentions on the wayback machine but it wasn't in the archive. The article was called "On Comoy stems and manufacturing processes" It's a shame he took down his blog. Does anyone happen to have a copy of that blog post?

Comoy’s Extraordinaire 499 Restoration [Pic Heavy]

That's amazing. I find it hard to believe it's even the same pipe. Outstanding work once again. Hmm I did find this article on the 3 part C: https://rebornpipes.com/2014/03/11/on-making-a-comoys-c-logo-jacek-a-rochacki/

    Coming up to Retirement

Yes Mike the NYC Dunhill shop up the block from me does not sell tobacco either. Does that Dunhill shop have the pipes actually on display?

    Lane's BCA Gone South!

Hmm that's pretty interesting. I personally haven't had that problem. Keep us posted as to what you find out. On a different note I would like to say I found their vanilla black cavendish to be great. After reading Jim's 4 star review on it I picked up a couple ounces and I was not disappointed.

Jim's Lane Vanilla Black Cavendish Review.

I finally got some while it was in stock and I have to say Jim hit the nail on the head. I don't smoke a lot of aro's anymore but this one is great. I can't wait to get home tonight and light up a bowl. I'll have to pick up a pound when I see it on sale.

    Coming up to Retirement

Congrats on the retirement. I'm curious as to which Dunhill store you're going to go to. If you have to travel to get there you may want to call ahead of time and see if they still sell pipes. The store next to my office hardly has any pipes left and they are not on display. They have them...

    Strange And Wonderous Pipe Journey

Cosmic I've always wanted to join a pipe club. I would go to the NYC meeting but my train options to get home at night are slim and it ends up being a local that takes 2 fricking hours. I would go to the Hudson Valley pipe club meetings but it's on a week night and starts before I even get home...

Jokingly Told My Wife I Wanted This Nordh Pipe--She Yelled At Me

I hope you made sure she didn't have a weapon in her hand when you showed her.

    Black Stoved Virginias??????????

I've been saying forever that I need to try this blend as I love balkan style tobacco's but as of yet haven't gotten a chance to. I like that sweetness a "cavendish" can add to a blend. I see our friend Jim has mentioned that sweetness in his review of balkan blue "the latakia doesn't stand out...

    Strange And Wonderous Pipe Journey

It's a great journey to be on. I smoke a little bit of everything(Except Lakeland) depending on my whim.

    Raisin Cain

I'm just joining the fun now. I do NOT like raisins. So Oatmeal cookies sans raisins for me. I can't eat the apple strudel with my annual Peter Lugers dinner next week. They put raisins in it. YUCK! Even worse are prunes and dried apricots. I don't know how anyone can eat either one.

1938 BBB Silver-Mounted Poker Restoration [Pic Heavy]

Holy shit man. What a restoration. I find it hard to believe it's the same pipe. I thought maybe the stem was new.

    Savinelli Unfinished, Finished.

Hmmm I never thought of finishing an unfinished sav. That's a nice looking pipe.

Scenario: You Have $500 Store Credit

I would spend about $200 to $300 on a pipe and the rest on tobacco. Maybe one of these Sav Punto Oro's: Or Sav Autograph: Or maybe another Mimmo Provenzano to add to my collection:

    Thank You, P&C!

I'm always happy to see my P&C catalog in the mail regularly. I'm particularly happy now that I have my P&C 2018 Calendar!

They put an outlaw image on the side and the name on the bottom. That's the only discernible differences.
