    Decatur airway cleaner

I take apart my cobs and dip a bristle pipe cleaner in some vodka and thoroughly clean/scrub the airway of the cob; sometimes I double them over and twist to get all the crap out. I use a fluffy dipped in vodka to clean the stem.

Smoking On An Empty Stomach (Is it really that bad?)

Start out the morning with a variety of englishes with my morning coffee and move onto the "heavier" blends after lunch. Never had a problem except one time when I really liked Jack Knife Plug and smoked two big pipes of it back to back. Nothing a little honey and common sense couldn't fix.

    Inducing Myself and Big Order!!!

Xmas Cheer sold out several months ago. Sometimes Pipestud has some aged tins for sale on his site (pipestud.com) but they sellout fast. Welcome to the forum; it looks like you're off to a great start. It will take some time to find a packing method and a pace to smoking that works best for...

    Mason Jar Lids

When changing blends in a jar I always put a new lid on. Lids are cheap and plentiful; I can a lot of jam and pickles so always have new ones on hand.

    Bengal Slices Moisture Question

This seems to be true of all the STP blends. My Bengal Slices smoked fine out of the tin but I wouldn't want it any drier. I jarred all my STP blends right away to keep them at their current moisture. Chasingembers trick to re-hydrate a pipe's worth of tobacco has worked for me many times and...
