    Online tobacconist vs local tobacconist

I'm in New York. I don't usually buy bulk, but I assume the tax is the same. We have a 75% tobacco tax then the 8% sales tax on top. Cigars are around 25-30% tax before the added sales tax. The cigar tax was rolled back a couple of years ago. It was 75% also. It went from 16% to 38% to 75% in...

    G.L. Pease Haddo's Delight indeed

Mr.Pease does a great job with the brandy in his blends. Give Barbary Coast a try, I think you'll like it as well. I really enjoy it alongside a little bit of port.

    Online tobacconist vs local tobacconist

I wish I lived in a state where a tin of Dunhill Flake didn't cost $25 plus 8% sales tax. I do buy an occasional tin because I do enjoy walking into a quality tobacconist shop and seeing all the pipes, tobacco and cigars. Not knocking the forum, but it is also nice to have face to face...

    Payless Pipes

It's been a couple of years, but I had good service from them buying tins. Never bought anything else.

    Castello 55

I was lucky enough to win one of these that Mike put on ebay. I hope to christen it this weekend.

My new Peterson lighter won't light :(

I did the same thing with my old boy. Being left handed, I was striking it backwards with my left thumb. I didn't figure it out until I purged it a couple of times and changed the flint for nothing then used my right hand because my left was tired.

    Tobaccoreviews.com. What's Changed?

I cleared cookies, but am still having problems. It's fine if I type a known name, but if I type "balkan" or "vanilla" like I couldn't remember the full name of a blend, I get no list of possible matches.

    People I'm Missing

Feels strange for me to say I miss someone that I actually never interacted with on a thread, but 12pups was a poster that really had a great writing style and I enjoyed his posts, no matter the topic.

    Dunhill whatever?

After seeing the picture of it in use, I realized I would probably char the rim, bowl, shank and earlobe.

    Dunhill whatever?

Looks silly, but I guess it could come in handy if you want the pipe out of your line of sight while reading or driving, or if you need to smoke around a corner.

    Your favorite chocolate tobacco?

Two Friends English Chocolate. Best of both worlds, not overly aromatic, nor lat heavy.

    Some People Just Suck

There is no justification to either accidentally do this and not own up to it or to do it for some spiteful reason. I am curious though. Since you are on disability Nate, do you park in a space for people with disabilities? Perhaps it was someone who saw you walking without assistance and...

    Pipe Building Kit

My wife got one for me for Christmas (as well as a beef jerky Advent calendar :-) ). I haven't had a chance to start carving it, but it is pretty cool. The block is on par with what you'd get from somewhere like Pipes and Cigars carve your own block. As a smoking gift from a nonsmoker, it's a...

Do You have Any Phobias? I Do

Sounds like my grandmother. Along with the big red enema, she would use homemade foul smelling ointments and poultrices. Luckily my mom would keep me away from her when I was sick. I'm sure my dad had to learn to "go with the flow" when he was a kid though!

It's A Massacre! -- Brutalized Dunhill eBay Listing

According to the seller it is in "pristine condition" and "excellent condition". I'd love to see what they consider "fair condition".
