Very Very Rare S. Bang Grade F Pipe

It may be real. They said early (read: made in 8th grade woodshop). They said grade F (that's what his teacher gave him).

    Penzance vs Wheaties

Tough to compare the different cuts. Penzance and Wheaties are flakes, Cap'n Crunch is a puff.

    BriarWorks tobacco

http://laudisi.com/briarworks-international.cfm They look like they come in actual mason jars, which must be a pain to pack so they won't break and also the extra shipping weight has to be costly. There is going to be a Laudisi rep at my local B&M this weekend, if I can get there, I'll ask...

Just noticed this on Laudisi website. Anyone heard details about it?

*** What Are You Smoking?*** (November 2015)

1/2 bowl Jack knife plug in a Waughtel. I'll finish it up later -- I'm not used to weather in the 30's yet!

    Another Olivewood to the fold

Beautiful grain, great price. Can you give the name of his site. I would love to add another olive to go with my Spanu. Let us know how it breaks in.

Is there a pipe shape = tobacco type matrix?

I choose my pipes depending on the amount of time I have, although I can see where people pair bowl sizes and blends. As far as shapes go, I'm not sure about that. If someone says a certain shape pipe smokes a blend better then I carve that same pipe into a different shape, I don't believe that...

Recommend a blend with Cigar Leaf

I've tried McC Dominican Glory, GLP Robusto and C&D Habana Daydream. Of those, I like Habana Daydream the best.

    Post Thanksgiving Dinner Smoke

I'll probably wind up at my neighbor's fire pit, so it'll be Autumn Evening or Golden Days of Yore which are more agreeable around others. Although after spending the day with extended family, I'd probably need the stuff I smoked in my misspent youth!

Tobaccos that should also be in rope form

I always thought C&D Habana Daydream would make a good rope.

Neil Young's Birthday -- Can You Dig It?

A local radio station did a top 100 today. It's not every day you hear Sedan Delivery and Don't Let it Bring You Down on the way home from work. I've been to two shows. One solo acoustic and one with Crazy Horse. Very different from each other, but both great.

*** What Are You Smoking?*** (November 2015)

Sitting on the porch looking at all the wet leaves I need to rake up enjoying the remnants of Sextant and Quiet Nights I mixed together from the October crawl.
