Cornell and Diehl Three Friars Blend Change?

It sounds like an email to C&D is in order. That is the only way you will know if it was just a mistake or if they have made some changes.

    Thrift Stores.

I primarily buy books from thrift stores but I have upon occasion picked up some clothes or housewares. I find that my local stores don't always have a good selection, but if they did I would frequent them more often.

    Just one guy's opinion

Corn cob snobbery exists if and when an individual mouths off about cobs being superior to all other pipe materials - to the point that said individual claims that no other pipes are worthy of smoking. I have never ever ever seen anything like that on any forum. Ever. It may be out there, but...

    Just one guy's opinion

Really. I don't think too many people would say that cobs need as much rest as a briar. If somebody finds that their cob needs MORE rest than a briar then perhaps they should stop trying to smoke shisha or chewing tobacco in it and they will find better results... ;)

    Nicotine Uptake

Progressively smoke small amounts of the strong blend until you are able to smoke a normal sized bowl. Keep in mind that this is how one develops a nicotine addiction. If one is a casual smoker, then by definition they should not have a high tolerance to nicotine. (Unless it is just a personal...

    Cures for nicotine nausea?

I prefer root beer myself! My suggestions have already been covered: smoke slowly in a smaller bowl than usual, in an open/ventilated place, on a full stomach with a sweet beverage on hand for after your smoke... Also, don't do anything else while you are smoking - if the blend is enough to make...

Sorry Guys But Kijiji Hits Again.

You've got me considering an ad of my own, too. It sounds like a great way to go about finding some local pipes... I know my searches have yielded nothing to date.

    Just one guy's opinion

All of sixmp's latest points are spot on, in my opinion. Cobs don't require as much rest and they are more affordable. As a result, the beginner can afford multiple pipes which will enable them to experiment with a wider variety of blends. Finding a tobacco you enjoy to smoke is the key to...

    Taxidermy

It is very intriguing to me, but I know nothing about it. As usual, I am interested to learn something about the subject...

    Just one guy's opinion

Now there's a sight for sore eyes, igloo... New cobs can have a mild taste to them but it isn't long before its driven out by the flavour of the tobacco - maybe a couple bowls. When you carbonize the inside of the bowl they smoke fairly clean. Not like a meer, of course, but they still do a good...

    Diving right in!

I'd say I'm too conservative for Windows 8. The things I've read about it don't sound that appealing to me.

Introduction to all you fine gents.

Welcome! Nice story. Pipe smoking is a great way to free oneself from the addictive monotony of cigarettes. I've spent many hours at tobaccoreviews myself, it is a phenomenal resource even though you have to take each review with a grain of salt... Try as many different types of blends as you...

New Guy and My Experience So-Far

Welcome unclebuck. Explore widely with your tobacco selections - try several representative selections of each style and go from there. That is the best advice that I can give. Your experience with individual pipes will vary, but I am sure you will find plenty of good ones to make up for any...

    Smoking at the workplace?

I'd say that very few people can smoke AT work anymore because of all the public smoking bans. This thread seems directed at those who smoke on breaks. I've smoked my pipe a few times at work and it kills most of the enjoyment for me. Primarily because you are forced to go outside amongst a pile...

    Just one guy's opinion

Philo, I don't think one person has knocked cigrmaster in this thread! I respect him and his opinion, but we differ and that is fine and dandy. Nor do I think that anyone has been attacked. I am sorry if you feel that way. This is what I would call a debate and that is what makes a thread worth...

    Just one guy's opinion

I've got 14 Country Gentlemen cobs and in my opinion it was money better spent than if I had to get just two "quality" briars at around $60 apiece, and certainly it is better value to me than one $120 pipe... I prefer their look and performance over all other Missouri Meerschaums. In general...

    Hell On Wheels

It's a great show, I especially love the Bohannon character. It's not in the same league as Deadwood, IMO, but it is better than 90% of what's on TV these days. That finale was tough to take - I did not see that coming at all. Not going to spoil it for anyone, but I'll be interested to see what...

    When will the madness end?

These nutritional dilemmas are deep seated social, cultural, and economic problems. Nobody has all of the answers and they are impossible to fix from the top down in my opinion. To me, these warning labels and junk taxes are the complete opposite of what we should be doing as a society. It is...
