Thrift Stores.
I primarily buy books from thrift stores but I have upon occasion picked up some clothes or housewares. I find that my local stores don't always have a good selection, but if they did I would frequent them more often.- sparroa

Corn cob snobbery exists if and when an individual mouths off about cobs being superior to all other pipe materials - to the point that said individual claims that no other pipes are worthy of smoking. I have never ever ever seen anything like that on any forum. Ever. It may be out there, but... -

Really. I don't think too many people would say that cobs need as much rest as a briar. If somebody finds that their cob needs MORE rest than a briar then perhaps they should stop trying to smoke shisha or chewing tobacco in it and they will find better results... ;) -

Progressively smoke small amounts of the strong blend until you are able to smoke a normal sized bowl. Keep in mind that this is how one develops a nicotine addiction. Now there's a sight for sore eyes, igloo... New cobs can have a mild taste to them but it isn't long before its driven out by the flavour of the tobacco - maybe a couple bowls. When you carbonize the inside of the bowl they smoke fairly clean. Not like a meer, of course, but they still do a good... -

I'd say that very few people can smoke AT work anymore because of all the public smoking bans. This thread seems directed at those who smoke on breaks. I've got 14 Country Gentlemen cobs and in my opinion it was money better spent than if I had to get just two "quality" briars at around $60 apiece, and certainly it is better value to me than one $120 pipe... I prefer their look and performance over all other Missouri Meerschaums. In general... -
