Can't use credit cards to buy loose tobacco online?

I didn't understand that Just for Him dealt in bulks only. (And this loose tobacco is under fire) That is less troublesome to me, but still problematic.

Can't use credit cards to buy loose tobacco online?

I'd suggest that everyone uses their utmost discretion in discussing this matter online any further. For your own best interests, I'd just wait and see what notices come out from who... It is bad news no matter what we we slice it, though.

    Asking Questions

It looks like another train has run off the rails... I have my opinions on this but I figure less is more at this point in time.

    Choose my TAD order

Isn't Renaissance one of the Pease Syrian blends lost in the warehouse fire? Good luck finding that! I also think that Old Dark Fired is sold out for the rest of the year... If I were to choose 5 of those blends for myself, it'd be: -Haddo's Delight -Black House -Solani Aged Burley Flake...

    Nicotine Uptake

Very good post, lankford. I agree on almost all points. (Except I am very different than you when it comes to both nicotine and caffeine!)

    Nicotine Uptake

Tom, I'm not quite sure if I understand the meaning of that first part but I generally agree that pipe smoking is not an indicator of good or ill health - the effects will radically vary between different individuals as all of our genetics and environmental exposures are different. I surely...

    Nicotine Uptake

Research has most certainly moved on from the 1964 conclusions but I highly doubt that there has been much distinction made between cigarette smokers and pipe/cigar smokers since that time. So accepting either the old SG report or newer research at face value is likely a flawed endeavour...

    Nicotine Uptake

Tom, It sounds like you have a tolerance and that you have stayed within that tolerance whether you tried to or not. There are a lot of threads around here that list plenty of strong tobaccos. To list a few at random, in addition to the good suggestions above: -Plugs, ropes, twists of all kinds...

Come Now, It's Really the Proper Thing to Do...

I just don't think it is relevant to have an avatar featuring your person... An avatar helps for name recall, but that is about it.

    Nicotine Uptake

Tom, Nicotine is easily absorbed through the mouth or other mucous membranes. I don't know where you read that there is no nicotine uptake, but it isn't accurate as far as I know. That's why chewing tobacco is effective - large quantities of nic straight through the cheek and gums into the...

    Virginias and Va/Pers

Keep at it, it comes with time. I honestly think that keeping your palate "pure" helps but there are so many variables its hard to instruct you on what to do.

Trying To Decide Between My First Sav

So I'll play devil's advocate: Why not just buy them both?!? ;)

    Would You Rather...

Tobacco. There's enough estate pipes out there that even if nobody ever crafted a briar or meerschaum again we'd still find a good smoking vessel or two. (Not to mention what we already own) Also, it is much easier for an individual to make a quality pipe than to grow/cure/process your own pipe...

Trying To Decide Between My First Sav

I honestly like the look of the Porto Cervo better. Plus it is half the price!

    Samuel Gawith - Skiff Mixture

You don't really hear much about Skiff on this or any other forum. Squadron Leader seems to steal a lot of its thunder. I'd be interested to try it sometime but I'm not really digging that style of tobacco lately.

    No More Pease, Please

VINDICATION IS SO SWEET! ;) Looking forward to smoking Haddo's sometime, it definitely sounds like it is loaded with flavour... In general, I haven't had too many Pease blends but I did enjoy the ones I did try. And I'm willing to take a chance on the ones I haven't sampled.

    Trying new tobacco

To me, it's shortsighted to suggest that you won't "get" a blend right from the start because it is subtle or because it is too complex. The only way to know what you like and to guide your blend selection is try all of the basic varieties up front. The first blends I tried were all aromatics...

    No More Pease, Please

I thought I read somewhere along the line that Haddo's had an alcohol casing of some sort. My bad, if I"m mistaken in that. It might have been tobaccoreviews so who knows what you'll read there...

    No More Pease, Please

Perhaps you are allergic to some component in the blend. The only real connection I see between them besides being Pease blends are that they both contain liquor as flavouring agents. Perhaps you can try a "straight" Pease blend and see what you think. And if all else fails, age them. Who knows...

    Germain Medium Flake

Cigrmaster, I was willing to give it a shot since Germain seems to make reputable blends on the whole. A few comparisons to Capstan and a number of intriguing comments about its supposed flavour (is it soap, lavender, citrus, or just "fruit"?) caught my attention. Honestly, it does have a lot of...
