    Samuel Gawith Blends and Quality

I confess the moistness of SG flakes tries my patience. The underated SG Palace Gate is a must for aro moments tho. G & H are top quality and their moisture levels are about spot on, maybe that is to do with availability only in loose pouches in the UK. Only just tried the Louisiana flake and...

Aromatic Tobaccos And The Importance Of Room Note.

Often sit in the smoking shed outside my local pub with the other half smoking. She sure hates latakia aroma that's for certain. I am of the same opinion as drwatson (previous post). Peterson System Standard Pipe: 302 vs 303

Thanks bigbee, I agree with what you say, I have found some tobaccos flavour has been diluted by the 9mm but it has enhanced others by reducing the sharpness.

Peterson System Standard Pipe: 302 vs 303

I'm about to order a Pete on payday. Just not sure whether to get a System 303, 9mm filter (Fermoy, Dublin) or straight through e.g. Killarney. At the moment I smoke 9mm (Big ben) a few Falcons and an EA Carey (papyrate paper sleeve). Any advice appreciated.

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

I'm joining the Pete club next payday, getting a Killarney red. Will be my first 'straight through' pipe which is not a Falcon (humidome),Carey (papyrate sleeve) or Big Ben (9mm filter). Looking forward to it very much.

Room note is pleasant chaps, I use to mix it 2 to 1 with Gold Block in years gone by, just gave it a bit of bite.

Samuel Gawith: Brown Sugar Flake, Brief Review

Smoking a tin myself at the moment....crikey it's moist, bye bye matches. Iv'e cubed it now and just starting getting more flavour as it dries out. Love SG tobaccos but running out of patience on their flakes...too much trouble sorry.
