    Never would have considered that, but now I know. I have no meerschaum pipes, and certainly no old meerschaums, but it is interesting to find that the moisture problem would have been addressed that way. Do you find that many of such stingers were removed, as so many are on more modern pipes?

    I am a fan of the KAT knife, from Mercator, for a general utility knife. Make sure you actually get the Mercator, and not a Chinese copy. The Mercators are not expensive. I don't have one of these, http://www.opinel-usa.com/ but I want one. Good solid utility knives for what I can tell.
