    How Slow?

    As a novice pipe smoker, you need to rely on the experience and expertise of your pipe elders. So here is a little video to help you learn about slow smoking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxPgdpIupz8

    Guess what I just found

    It's a firm belief of mine that one shall not ask a man what he finds when rubbing one out. 8O

    For Bulldogmick

    Wow, not sure. Why does the Duncan Hill Aerosphere have a bad reputation? :?

    Found In My "Old Pipes" Pipe Rack

    As someone who owns a total of 1 briar, I can't even fathom "oops, I forgot a pipe", especially such a beauty!

    Do You Think the Tin is Still Good?

    John, yeah, that was my fear/guess. It arrived as the blandest, driest tin I have yet to open. :?

    Woah, low price alert!

    That's the savings, not the price. The old list-the-savings-in-red routine! :lol: Also, why is it every time there are great deals on pipes I see this: :crying:

    Do You Think the Tin is Still Good?

    Do all tins "pop" or "hiss" when first opened (disregarding, of course, MacClelland/C&D style tab tins)? I ask because I recently got a tin of Dan Tobacco's Malthouse and it didn't pop and the tobacco was really dry, but I didn't see any tin damage. :crazy:

    Semi-Colons;

    I admit nothing, officer!

    Colons:

    They turn food into s@*t: it's the part of the large intestine that extends from the cecum to the rectum. :rofl:

    Semi-Colons;

    Do both! Teach your students to write ballads in iambic pentameter! :clap:

    Semi-Colons;

    That's an entirely different use of the word. If you read your own link ( :nana: ) and scroll down to the superscript "2" you will see it is an adverb in my sample sentence, and the sentence you used it in too. :wink: Once an English teacher, always an English teacher. :twisted:

    Semi-Colons;

    In my experience, the biggest misuse of a semi-colon comes when people mistake an adverb for a conjunction. Some examples: I went to the store to buy peanut butter; however, they were all sold out.[/*] We were going to buy every tin of Samuel Gawith we could find; instead, we decided on...

    Friday Night Rant

    I live in Ontario as well, but I also spent nearly a decade in a communist country and so I can appreciate the laws that exist to protect our citizens. Yes, sometimes they go too far and can feel like a pain in the ass, but I'm proud of our democratic system that allows for voices to be heard...

    Pipe tobbacco flavor

    I think it's a bit of both, but definitely the burning tobacco has flavours. I often smell the stream of smoke emanating from the bowl (between puffs) and it certainly has a flavoured scent.

    Throw me a rope

    That must be the first shop owner in the world not falling over himself to sell stuff. 8O As for the rope (great thread title, by the way! :clap: ), it's really dependent upon how you react to nicotine. Are you a former cigarette smoker? What happens to your body under the influence of...

    Through the nose...

    UGH! I wasn't used to doing this and just did it while smoking a bowl of JF Dorisco Mixture and now my sinus are aching. :| Also, I didn't get any great additional flavour sensation.
