    Not sure about the other men that I knew smoked a pipe but a friend's father smoked London dock, which he called London Dump, and I think Mixture 79. My grand father did not smoke.

    I have found that I cannot detect the "room Note" while smoking. Try using the garage to smoke in. Leave for a few minutes and then return. Works for me. LRT

    I have been using one for about 8 years. Using it once a week with no problems for relights after starting with kitchen matches.

    Try John Gunther's "Inside the USA". Written in 1947 but it is interesting background. I think it still is insightful. San Francisco is not what I knew as a young adult. Still an interesting place.

    Falcon Vs. Dr. Grabow?

    I only have a Viking so can't compare them. One difference is that the Viking stem is removable as designed and the Falcon that may not be done with out damage. I do like the way the Viking works but wish new bowls were easily available.

    You can use 3 or 4. NEED one. But look out! I can here with 5 and was quite happy. Now I have 35 + and more tobacco than I can possibly smoke. This is a dangerous place! :rofl:

    I like that shape , square wide mouth, for tobacco that I am using. The wide mouth is good for loading the pipe. However, They do not stack worth a dam.     Just doing a little reading on the history of the PNW and came upon this Tobacco in PNW It was news to me that the carrots of tobacco came from Brazil. 8)
