Britain's Best Briar Pipe Found in Antique Shop - Should I Buy?

Looks cool. And 20 pounds is small money. these days. Pick it up and give it a home.

    Ebay suprise

Sure. There are plenty of "no name" pipes that will smoke really well. Over the years there have been hundreds of pipe brands, many frequently made by the big names and branded for others. But it's a crap shoot. At least buying a Savenelli or Peterson gives you a reasonable chance of a well...

Pipes by Lee Soaking Up Oil

Have you been smoking these after oiling them? I expect that they'll begin to express the oil when warm from smoking. i.e. they may weep a little. As such, I don't think that I'd be applying any wax until any such weeping completely ceases. Perhaps no wax at all.

An Oom Paul with an Extra Helping of "Oom"

That's actually a beautiful pipe for those who like chin-sitters.

Meerschaum Cigar Holders: New Coloring Experiment?

Looks like they've begun to pick up a little color. But the fact that you're finding them "fiddly" to mess with is a definite mark against. Fun experiment, though.

    Decision on New Meerschaum

I've had and always enjoyed IMP pipes. They have been around for a long time. Probably can't go wrong.

    New Tekin Meer!

Nice progress. I love the fact that it has already begun to develop "freckles". I find that to be a good sign when coloring a Meer. Enjoy.

Ive been working on it since 2013 if I recall correctly. Less than 200 bowls smoked through it.

Show Off Your Nording Pipes Here!

Here is a Nording I picked up at a second hand / junk store in Hong Kong in about 2006. It's quite pretty.

    Show Off Your Barlings Here

Here is a little Barling that I really enjoy. It's short so it's a perfect pocket pipe. It was made in England and is labeled SOVEREIGN.

Here is my favorite of my meerschaum collection. Pics of new and more recent. Really coloring beautifully.

    Show Off Your Barlings Here

I've got one or two Barling pipes lying around. And they're among my favorites. I agree that they don't take a back seat to any maker.

    Impressed With HH Latakia Flake

I find that HH Latakia Flake is one of the Latakia blends that ages nicely. I've had some cellared for a while and I've been really impressed with how it has matured and mellowed.

Looking to age this box of velvet.

How is the moisture content? I rehydrated a large can of Walnut a few years ago. Once I got it restored, it was pretty tasty. A pleasant surprise. Send us some tasting notes.

H&H, Bengal Slices, and War Horse are done

That's a shame. I'm pretty well stocked on their offerings but its sad to see them go.
