...and so it begins. Treat them well and you'll still be loving these pipes 40 years hence.

Tea & Tobacco - 2nd Article by Romeowood

I agree with dgerwin11, but a nice double espresso from my Bialetti pot is also a fit accompaniment.

    Question about an interesting pipe

Throwryuken: any other expert opinions are more than welcome. And OTC...What's a "briar cutty"?

    Question about an interesting pipe

It smokes as good as it looks, romanza...very dry. The pipe holds about 45 minutes of tobacco at a casual burn. I'm a collector, but wouldn't own a piece I couldn't smoke. The lady in the antique shop let it go for $45. Seems my instincts were correct this time.

    Question about an interesting pipe

You gentlemen are remarkable! Thanks for the initial data. Any other guidance from the community would be much appreciated.

Help me pick out a Hand Gun!

I own two handguns and am very happy with both. The main question to ask is how much of the time will you spend carrying concealed. My Kahr .40 is a remarkably accurate and powerful weapon, especially when loaded with hollow point ammo. The drawback is that, with a stainless steel body, it's a...

    Question about an interesting pipe

I recently purchased an estate pipe that was originally part of a set. The leather case was still in the antique shop with six recessed spaces and only this one piece in a recess clearly designed for its unusual shape, with a heel reminiscent of 17th century clay pipes. The only letters are...

    New to the pipe scene

Welcome aboard, friend. Take care. This could be the beginning of a lifelong obsession if you're not careful.

    Pipe Bags

Every new pipe I've bought from Bennington's in Boca Raton, Florida has come in a cloth bag and sturdy box. When you find a great tobacconist, support it with your dollars and referrals. We need to keep the old warriors strong.

Going natural. And I dont mean naked.

Nothing offhand, but I'm sure there's an APP for that. :-)

Congratulations Sundown. I can tell you from personal experience that grandchildren are MUCH better than children. Best wishes, grandpa!

How much would you pay for a pipe ?

The most expensive pipe in my stable is a Ser Jacobo that set me back $150. I'd be willing to go higher for the right piece; maybe to $350 or so, but that's pretty much my limit.

You must be a pipe smoker

When a favorite briar is your iPhone wallpaper, you are probably a pipe smoker.

If Worst Comes to Worst, No More Pipe Tobacco Industry

If nothing changes, nothing changes. The past three years in this country have been especially hostile to our rights as pipe smokers and gun owners. I join with all you gentlemen who are calling for a fundamental change in the "we know best" mentality that has taken over both political parties...

My new Pete arrived !! (pic heavy)

The bulldog bowl reminds me of a Savinelli in my collection, but the silverwork and amber stem put it miles ahead of anything I own. A wonderful pipe! Thanks for the pics.

    What are You Reading?

My son got me started on Louis Lamore novels over the summer (the Sackett family series). These cowboys have become my guilty pleasure. Great stuff.

    Crooks Just Suck

It's pretty much a straight line; Crooks suck, Guns kill, Killing crooks reduces crime. Yet one more reason to move to Florida!

    Surprised by capt. black

I'll generally pick up a pouch of CB white for a change of pace and find it more than worth the price. I don't like the gold at all; it is simply overpowering with a funny aftertaste. Having read the reviews thus far, I think my next change of pace pouch will be CB royal. Thanks for the informed...

    Your spouse's/partners opinion?

My wife is an ex-coffin nail smoker and has, over the years, evolved (devolved) into one of the smoke nazis we've all come to know. Sad to say I can only smoke my pipe away from home. Even then she occasionally grouses about how I'm killing myself. It's a house devided, at least on this issue.

Have U Ever Tried Smoking Pipe at the Shore

One of my favorite places to enjoy a pipe is on a small island off the Florida coast. Right on the beach it tends to get a bit too windy at times, but I can always find a quiet patch of sand in the lee of the island amongst the mangroves. Use any available wind blocks and puff away in peace...
