Beautiful smooth finish, and the cream stem looks just right on so many levels. Thanks for sharing.

    Kaywoodie

This is a Kaywoodie Oompaul that I picked up at a consignment store. Big bowl, great finish and one of my best smokers even with the stinger in place.

    Corona Old Boy Repair

I know it can be done. I had an Im Corona that was more than 10 years old. I brought it into my local tobacconist and told him about the problem. He said, "no problem" and sent it somewhere. Three weeks later, I had it back in perfect condition. When I asked "how much", he said there would be no...

    What's Your "White Whale" Pipe?

Here you are. It's a Becker and Musico...made in Rome by Paulo Becker. The pipe has always been large on the outside, but small on the inside. Too chunky to clench properly so it requires a free hand. Still, it's a beauty and one of my fat favorites.

Ropp Pipes--French web site shows the history of manufacture

I've had a now-well-used Ropp Cherrywood since the mid 1970s. They make a great product that offers a nice smoking experience. The only problem I've found is that the stem tends to get loose as the cherrywood in the shank wears away.

    Scandanavian Tobacco Sample

Whats Everyones Favorite Burley Or Burley mix blends

I recently came upon Peterson Gold Blend. It's a Black Cavendish blended with Virginia and Burley. Very nice...mild with a wonderful room note. It's definitely worth a try.

    English Blends

I was never a fan of English blends but maybe, after all these years, my taste is starting to mature. For our Florida friends, a fellow pipe smoker who works for Smoke Inn gave me a tin that blends a Turkish and Perique mixed with an English blend for a remarkably nice smoke. It's called...

    New Meerschaum

I'm generally partial to more traditional shapes, but that's one interesting meer you've got there. Thanks for sharing.

    Florida Smokers Roll Call

I've been living in Palm Beach Gardens since 1989. With all the activity this thread is getting, I'm surprised I haven't bumped into more pipers through all those years. It's good to know I' m not alone down here.

    My new Savinelli

A great looking pipe from one of my favorite makers. I especially like the lucite stem...great visual balance. I've never had a Sav that wasn't a joy to smoke.

What's everyone doing on Sunday morning?

I play my guitar in church (an Ovation VXT). This is followed by about two hour at the office, doing insurance billing and feeding the fish while smoking one of my favorite pipes at my desk in clear violation of several city ordinances.

Buying a Calabash from Meerschaum store

This is a BC that set me back $225. Genuine Calabash gourd with block meerschaum bowl and church warden stem. Smokes like a dream and, since I save up and buy my pipes cash, well worth waiting for.

    Estate PAD TAD Got Me

This is exactly the reason I routinely stop by local antique and consignment shops. Must admit, though, I've never had a one-day find the likes of this. Congratulation on a well trained eye for history and for quality in pipe craft.

    Couldn't Resist... L'Anatra Billiard

I especially like the rusticated bowl coupled with a smooth and well-grained top. Very classy. As for shape, it appeals to the traditionalist in me. Worth every cent.

    Meerschaum Pipe Info Needed

One other very nice feature about a meerschaum pipe is that, unlike briar or cherry wood, it doesn't expand and contract with heat changes. As such, I can clean out and re smoke the same meer several times in a day. It's great for those times when I find myself with several pleasant smoke...
