    I have a couple Grabows and they are great.Granted they are all estates I've restored except for my first/only store bought Omega P-Lip...which is my 2nd go to pipe my first is another Grabow, bent Riviera estate.Love them both

    I tried the freezer once and figured like cigs it'll stay fresh...I was wrong... an entire oz. aside from 1 bowl was so dry it was like drift wood.

    Still with you numbersix..Great examples but the shank and stem need to be the same length and tight going into a round taper stem....I see it too..next time I get briar that's my goal.

    Help I need a Pipe for my son

    I personally would say a "new" good old Grabow to start, that way if he doesn't like it it's no real loss at $30 or less and with a quick break-in period it's more likely he'll enjoy it quicker and not be so concerned with the "Hassle" of packing style.

    That's what I like about them they never let me down.The white trash thing was just more of a funny than serious because of all the talk of Pete's,Nordings and such.While I got mine at a flea market for $5 and restored them and those OTC pipes are my favorites..lol

    I am with you numbersix.That too is my favorite shape and the one that made me want to smoke a pipe as well.I think what you are describing is "The perfect" billiard, at least for me, but I don't think it exists because I've been searching also.

    Affordable but aesthetically pleasing day pipe?

    I personally love Dr.Grabow and Kaywoodie.They are cheap but great smokers,granted I only have estates that I've restored,but none the less every one I have smokes amazingly.Actually my Medicos aren't terrible either.
