    The Prodigal Pipe Returns!!!

Was the son perhaps partaking of the father's hobby during that time? Was the pipe doing more than cavorting with the dust bunnies? Simon

    TAD Purchases

Dang. Are you sure this wasn't supposed to go in the "what would you do if you won the TAD lottery" thread? What's the rectangular Eileen's Dream tin/box? Simon

What is your favorite type of tobacco.

Cavendish or cavendish & Virginias. I like Latakia, but as an occasional thing rather than every time. My foray into VaPer territory tasted good but I got the spins.

September 2010 - What are you smoking?

Blue Note in my Dr. Grabow Omega. Doing a bit of work in the shop again. Simon

    Lord of the Rings

"Old Toby. The finest pipe-weed in the South Farthing." -- Bilbo Baggins Yep. LoTR and its pipe-smoking led me here. And now that I'm here, I look at this stupid anti-smoking, messed up, Walmart and fast-food obsessed society and want to tell everyone to chill out and smoke a pipe. Change your...

    Pulled the Trigger

Congrats on the pipe. Dunhill, unsmoked, and your birth year. That's hitting for the cycle. Plus, it's a Canadian. Canadians rock! Simon

Why I haven\'t been posting much.

Hey Phil, Hope you're not in as much pain as I'm imagining right now. Get better, bud. Simon

    TAD Purchases

Whoa, bubba. That's a delivery and a half. Lucky the mailman didn't throw his back out carrying it. Happy puffing. Simon

September 2010 - What are you smoking?

1Q in my Vauen bent Rhodesian. Cloudy but mild tonight. I'm wandering around the back yard. Simon

September 2010 - What are you smoking?

Dang, Joe. That sounds positively fruit-tastic. I can't even imagine it, but now I feel driven to try it. Simon

    Photos of Your Local B&M.

That's a shop in a mall?!?! Holy jumpin'. The only tobacconists in malls around here are "Sheffield and Sons Tobacconists". Sounds impressive, right? It's more of a corner store/magazine shop. They sell nothing of interest. Simon

    Canadian border fees?

Try to work visiting a B&M into a business trip or a vacation, like I did. Tax and duty free, as long as you're under the limit. Only problem is now I'm hooked on PS Black Currant Cavendish and CAO Eileen's Dream, and I can't get them around here. No more vacations to the States in sight...

    Health Benefits of Pipe Smoking

Stress relief for me. Leads to less "medicinal" alcohol consumption and less "comfort" high-calorie food consumption. Simon

    CAO Cherrybomb

You know, a cherry blend remains on my to-do list. I expect I'll try one eventually (my local B&M carries the McClelland three cherry bulk blend), but right from the start I was warned away from cherry blends. I guess it was the association with cheap drug store flamethrowers that brought it on...

September 2010 - What are you smoking?

McClelland Frog Morton on the Town in my Stanwell HCA churchwarden. Took the stress from the day and it wafted away. Simon

    Pipe Smoker Survey 2010

I don't think it was more than 5 - 10 minutes. Which is always a nice surprise when filling out a survey that tells you it will take longer. Simon

    Pipe Smoker Survey 2010

I second bubbadrier. I've just hit that snag. At least let me put "other" so I can list a gentlemen's magazine. :-) Simon

    Smoking outdoors during winter.

The garage is my usual haunt, but tonight I'm sheltering from the rain on my back step. It's not too cold and there's no wind, but there are no stars to look at, either. Good thing I've got pipesmagazine to look through. Simon

September 2010 - What are you smoking?

Eileen's Dream in my Dr. Grabow Omega. Sometimes you gotta live the no-nonsense ease of use of a bent. Simon

Musky Smell? And I Don\'t Mean The Old Men In The Room

A really hard workout at the dojo last night, followed by a bad night's sleep. Nothing works this morning. I'm simulating old age. :-) Let us know how the pipe turns out. Simon
