    Straight pipe or Curved pipe?

I don't dislike bent pipes, but I prefer straight billiards myself.

Music battle: Merle Haggard vs. Waylon Jennings

Merle Haggard. Nothing against Waylon, but unlike him, Merle was the real deal when it came to the "outlaw" part.

    C&D Black Frigate

Black Frigate is in my "Top 3" greatest smokes of all time. Love that stuff!

    Peterson Dracula Series

I must admit, I can be a sucker for "gimmicky" marketing and these look awesome! Not sure when they'll be out this year. http://www.peterson.ie/pipes/dracula.html

    1858 New Army Review

Nice gun! But the above is a typo right?

    What's a shape you just don't like?

Not a fan of the bulldog/rhodesian, tomato, prince, calabash (I know part of pipe smoking is not giving a hoot what others think, but seriously, most people look ridiculous smoking a calabash), or those silly nose warmers.

    Robin Gibb The Bee Gees

Oh damn that sucks! I'm a classic rock/ metal kinda guy and even I like the BeeGees!

    Lighters vs. Matches

Butane lighter for me. Nothing against matches, I've used them and have yet to tell the difference between the two.

    What Else Do You Collect?

I am a certified German Mauser rifle fanatic. At last count, I have 47 rifles representing most of the countries that Mauser produced rifles for and the various models they produced. Mostly focused though on their famous Model 98 and the K98 used in WWII.

    Seeing the smoke

I was going to reply with this as well. I've closed my eyes while puffing and exhaling and it just isn't the same. I suppose if you were born blind, then obviously wouldn't know any better. But there's something psychological about seeing the smoke that I think adds to the experience.

    MacBaren Tobacco

Golden Extra is a favorite. I haven't tried the London Blend yet but am looking forward to it. I didn't care for Highland Blend like I thought I would. Just had sort of an "off" taste that I didn't care for. 7 Seas Black Blend is another favorite.

What Are You Smoking? April 2012

Black Frigate in a Savinelli Clark's Favorite.

    1858 New Army

Unless your casting lead shot or bullets in an unventilated area of the house, its a non-issue. Just the act of reloading cartridges or shot shells isn't going to contaminate your house making it impossible to sell.

    1858 New Army

When loading black powder, there can't be any air gap between the bullet and the powder. With a percussion cap revolver it isn't much of an issue since the lead ball or conical bullet is seated against the powder with the loading lever. However, when loading brass cased cartridges such as the...

    Music battle: for the rockers

+1 "You'll take my life but I'll take yours too. You'll fire your musket but I'll run you through. So when you're waiting for the next attack. You'd better staaaaand there's no turning baaaaack" Not only did Iron Maiden rock, they taught you history at the same time! :D Edit: It didn't hurt...

    Busted

You're going to hate me for saying this Jaysin, but what was your point? Meth labs are dangerous and illegal. The cops spend a considerable amount of time in every community trying to eradicate them. I'm sure people who are anti-smoking are against these as well, but since they are already...

    Pipe smoking etiquette; NEIGHBORS

I wouldn't even give it anymore thought. You're smoking in your backyard. End of story.

Sutliff Private Stock Blend 5 Pipe Tobacco Review

I received a free tin of this from Sutliff about a month ago and just got around to smoking a bowl of it a few days ago. I was really impressed. Its strong flavor wise, but not harsh. In fact what struck me the most was just how smooth it was. It was like smoking silk (metaphorically speaking of...
