Any thoughts on Scottish Blend, Golden Extra, and Gold of Denmark? I have tried Navy Flake and I really enjoy it. MacBaren seems to offer EXCELLENT tobacco and I am excited to try more. (Also; feel free to comment about any other MacBaren blend as well.)

MacBaren Burley London Blend for breaking-in new pipes which also served as my to-go blend.

The main reason is because the lovely nutty ghost and aroma that lingers in my bowl that suited nicely with light aros and English blend. Yummy!
MacBaren HH Vintage Syrian is my to-go English Blend, paired very nicely with a hot black coffee and an itsy bitsy cinnamon powder.

I have tried the Golden Extra and liked it pretty well. I am working my way through a 4oz sample of the Burley London and will for sure be ordering a pound of it. I love my Burleys and this one is just right for me.

Golden Extra is a favorite. I haven't tried the London Blend yet but am looking forward to it. I didn't care for Highland Blend like I thought I would. Just had sort of an "off" taste that I didn't care for. 7 Seas Black Blend is another favorite.

I enjoy Mixture; smoke a tin a year. Also enjoy Burley London about that much.
I like HH Vintage Syrian a lot; I probably smoke closer to a pound a year. Am also fond of The Solent Mixture, to the tune of maybe 2 tins a year.
Don't have any others that are a regular part of my rotation, although I am planning on a tin of Roll Cake for my next order.

I haven't smoked a McBaren's blend in a long time, but I used to smoke Roll Cake, and Symphony, and liked them both pretty well.

7 seas royal is tasty. My latest go to smoke has been vanilla flake and just picked up a tin of the vanilla loose cut to see how it is. Plum cake is nice also but I don't smoke it much.

Scottish, Virginia #1, Symphony and Burley London Blend are staples in my cellar.

HH Matured Virginia, Roll Cake and Vanilla Cream are quite good too.

Plumcake is a high quality blend, and receives lots of praise, but it's not to my tastes.

I've had all of the 7 Seas line and can say that you can't go wrong with one of those if you're looking for a good quality American style aromatic. I've also had Vanilla Cream which I love (prefer flake to loose cut but both are great), as well as Black Ambrosia which is good, and Cherry Ambrosia which is good but can be finnicky, so you might have to rub out the broken flake to keep a consistant flavor. Tried Plumcake but didn't really like it. Tasted the Latakia too much in it and right now I'm not a fan of Latakia. Also have had the Honey & Chocolate blend and that one is really good. Just the right amount of a rich dark chocolate flavor and a touch of honey. Overall Mac Baren does good blending. Quality leaf combinations and their aromatics are cased/topped just right. If you're patient and sip on them slowly, Mac Baren blends can be your best friend.

Seven Seas Royal is very good, as is Plumcake and the Vanilla Cream as mentioned above. You just have to watch out for the famous "MacBite" and go slow. Interesting how so many of their blends can bite your tongue.

I'm a big fan of Vintage Syrian, buy a pound at a time and jar it up. Tried the Mixture, but my preferences go back to the Vintage Syrian.

The first tobacco I ever tried that was not a heavily flavored aromatic was MacBaren's Virginia #1. It was a fantastic experience. I still remember being amazed at the complex flavor of the lightly cased Virginia. I am still am a huge MacBaren fan. They are by far my favorite pipe tobacco company. I have smoked Mixture, Roll Cake, Dark Twist, Plumcake, Virginia #1, LB Burley, Vanilla Creme, and their Virginia Flake. Plumcake, LB Burley, and Virginia #1 are enduring favorites. I also have an aging tin of the original Syrian Latakia mixture that is about 6 years old (waiting for a very special moment to crack that seal!). Reading this thread makes me want to go buy some more MacBaren!

I've tried several of the MacBaren tobacco's over the years and have liked most of them. I just ordered 5 100g tins each of MacBarren HH Vintage Syrian and their Acadian Parique. I'm looking forward to trying them both.
