Is it asking too much
I have a semi-hard rule about this. A pipe should pass a cleaner to remove moisture during a smoke; gurgling can happen especially if you smoke outside most of the time like I do, even if one breath smokes. The qualification is there in my personal rule because I do have one full-bent that... -

Jay, Nice thick walls on that pot. Some of the older style of pots had rather thin briar chambers. So be happy about that. Even if it is not from a more cherished era, still it may smoke like a badass. And for the cost ... no loss to you either way. -

Beautiful. I find it fascinating that their colours alter according to their soil conditions; sometimes we can see a part pink and part blue bush due to the soil in which the roots take. As a clencher, I prefer my pipes to be 60g or less. 60g equals 2.1 oz and so I work in your ballpark. Yet I don't have a hard rule about this. How the pipe sits and balances is key; I have a 75g (2.6 oz) pipe that suits my clenching style just so. But I do not go for pipes that weigh more; so...- thomasw
