Show Off Your Becker Pipes Here!

I could not find a thread for the smashing Italian maker, so I started this one because Becker's are fantastic smokers! Mine is a humble rusticated bent apple and I love it, but I know there are some of you who have hearts, clubs and even flushes. Let's see them!

The First Officially Stamped….Ken Barnes Pipe (Picture Heavy)

Stunning.... Smashing, flaming grain... I like everything about that pipe; enjoy it, and congratulations on both the pipe and your degree.

Purchasing A New Pipe Online - Experiences?

I recommend any of the sponsors as others have stated, but I have had especially great service from Briar Blues.

    Show Off Your Barlings Here

HOLY PIPE SOCKS!!!! I don't have anything to contribute to this thread other than to say that I find these old Barlings to be very aesthetically pleasing... Wow. They are rather like pipe jewellery. I hope you guys keep posting the photos.

    Oops

Thanks for the chuckle posters, this thread does have one aspect of the theme in Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" nailed :puffy:

    Cleaning question after nasty mishap

I'd run hot tap water through the bowl and stem. Then I would use 150 proof or better alcohol inside/outside the stem. The alcohol may not be necessary, but I am paranoid of bacteria from crap. It is more the idea than the reality, but that's how I'd deal with this shitty situation :puffy:

What Is the Sweetest Straight Virginia Blend You Have Ever Smoked?

I prefer the more savoury, bready daRK VAs as a rule; I say the sweetest straight VA I have cellared would be Christmas Cheer.

    Removing Nicotine (Using Distilled Water)

I'd be interested in the seeing the video the OP mentioned in his initial post...

Need Advice - How Much Would you Pay?

No for me. Much more functional and attractive pipe cabinet patterns are available; depending on the chosen woods, likely for that cost or less, too.

    Recommend a Castello

The sandblasted Old Antiquari line by Castello is generally lower priced and lower in mass; this sandblasted Bent Billiard (KK) is only 32g.

    Dark Fired Kentucky

Some great suggestions, but another new blend that has kentucky as a condiment lending a slightly spicy nuance is Mac Baren's HH Burley Flake. I love to take a VA flake and add one flake of HH Bold Kentucky; this renders a delicious bowl and the BK adds a smooth depth to the smoke.

    Favorite Tobacco Cut?

Flake, plugs; generally pressed tobaccos are my favourite... But what woodsroad said agrees with me, too.
