    No Love For Dunhill Blends

I bought as much as I could, which should last a few years. And I'd buy more if they are reproduced by another blending house. In my experience, it takes time to enjoy a blend, it's not something that could render an opinion after a single bowl. There's a reason people are lamenting the loss.

You Folks Smoking 6+ Bowls a Day

Years ago when I started, I bought a Tinsky Bulldog. It was my first real pipe. I smoked that thing ten times a day for two weeks, wore the bit to hell and damn near burned it out--a giant dark spot appeared on the heel. I've learned that cheap pipes will even out a rotation.

    Daughters and Ryan

I think D&R understands that a lot of current pipe smokers once smoked cigarettes. Don't buy a bag thinking you'll just try a cigarette or two. I mistakenly did that.

    Polish Condor....What Happened?

Never got to try the old Condor. Oh well.

    Dunhill tins-cellar or smoke?

Save two tins for ten years to make twenty bucks. What a waste. Think of all the tobacco that never gets smoked.

    Maltese Falcon

I picked ten tins up from P&C, but it had been backordered for months. If you don't mind waiting, I'd suggest ordering a few.

    whats your store

I remember P&C having the better deals but always out of stock on blends I wanted. These days SP is always out too.

Wilke (post Pipeworks / Carole) -- has anyone tried it?

I bought three pounds of Churchill last week. Same as I remember from Carole. It's a great blend, give it a try.

How Many Tobaccos in Your Rotation?

When I buy large quantities or bulk I’ll open a tin or put a couple ounces in a small mason jar to sample. I probably have about thirty open blends. It keeps things exciting.

    Mac Baren 1lb Bags

How are you guys handling the HH Mac Baren bags? I’ve been putting everything in jars. Is anyone keeping them in the package for cellaring?

    Cigar Leaf Blends

Here's my favorite, although Peases' Key Largo is my number two. The Wilke blend adds a bit of sweetness with the Black Cavendish, but it is a bit expensive at $73 per pound. Key Largo is a FULL tobacco with a more reasonable price tag. Wilke Churchill

    Beetles, Beetles Everywhere

A few months ago I bought a few whole leaf samples to try out some home recipes for plugs. I was hydrating the remainder of the leaf for a second batch, and when I reached to open the Burley, the entire inside of the bag was crawling with tobacco beetles. So I'm curious, I have a good number...

    TAD Therapy

I might have gotten carried away the past couple of years with all the monthly tobacco purchases. Anyone find a good way to reduce their spending to reasonable levels, or am I hopeless? I wanted to save for a motorcycle but the monthly deals on all the sites are killing me, not to mention the...

    First Impression: Haddo's Delight

Though I don't doubt Haddo's is amazing with a few years of age, I think it tastes great right out of the tin. The aroma is intoxicating and the nicotine blast is more than satisfying. One of the best Pease blends out there.

    Homemade plugs

I tried this with clamps. Honestly it was a big waste of time, and I have a lot of left over leaf that's dry as hell. I'll leave it to the pros unless I'm forced to do it myself.

    Cob Fails

Thanks for the help guys. These were the IPSD freebies. The bottom of the bowl is very squishy...I figured they would break anyhow. Not a big deal, just curious how poorly they are constructed. They look nice though.

    Cob Fails

I poked these to see what would happen, dumb, yeah I know. Went right through. Can these be fixed?? How??

    Mark Ryan's Tobacco Pilosophy

I wonder how many people bought his blends and then ended up smoking them as cigarettes.

    The Samuel Gawith Era

I guess my assumptions were entirely wrong. I thought SG was the big shot with the great blends making a killing. Turns out it's GH. Not that I wish them any ill fortune, it's just difficult how they can sell so much more than SG with all that perfume they sauce their tobaccos with. That said...
