    Wilke's "HIGH HAT" Hybrid Blends

    Buy some Carolina, it's amazing.

    Stonehaven Recipe

I guess my question is, is it Burley forward or Virginia forward. It's maddening to think that for all these years I have failed to win a bag, but there are others who make it a game and find success. So, I try, again, to estimate perfection.

*** What Are You Smoking?*** (November 2017)

70 percent Carolina, 30 percent perique.

    Stonehaven Recipe

I have also heard that the Virginia component is either dark or stoved. Any assumption is welcome.

    Stonehaven Recipe

Hi everyone. Having never smoked Stonehaven, but eternally curious, I thought that I might make my own tribute blend. I understand Stonehaven is a VaBur with a black treacle topping. Anyone have any idea regarding the proportions of Virginias to Burley? I'd be grateful to hear your remarks.

    Grape Tobacco?

If she really wants to go the Carter Hall route, you can get a bottle of Lorann Oils grape flavor on Amazon, and blend it yourself. It's a great brand for making home blended aromatics. I made some Cherry tobacco mixed with Latakia, Carolina, and Perique. Way better than the stuff on the market.

    Ahem...alcohol.

Help Me Choose a Blend to Cellar for 18 Years as My Daughter Ages

2015, buy a pound and make it last another 18 years.

    Sympathy?

I try to stay away from D&R blends with a shag cut. I tend to break out the injector and cigarette tubes when they come in. I think it's a dirty trick but I could be wrong.

    Updates on New Regulations

Can we identify any elected officials that support our little hobby?

    MacBaren Old Dark Fired

Haven't tried Bold Kentucky, but this is definitely the hardest hitting Mac Baren I have tried. Their newer HH stuff is much better to my palate than the classic Mac Baren, which I find to be meek and tasteless.

    Mac Baren HH Latakia Flake

    Not enough Latakia.

    Dipping

Dipping is a great money dump. It's about 10 dollars a day on Kodiak, and just a little less on Copenhagen snuff. It's great on a lunch break and after work, but as a regular habit, it's terrible in terms of cost and value.

    Old Codger Burley Shootout

Half and Half was absolutely terrible when I tried it as a new smoker. It's honestly the only blend I have ever tossed down the toilet.

    Who's Smoking?

I was putting together a rather large order (for me, at least) on P&C...I had a twenty percent discount from a backorder...and I swear, it seemed as if every other tobacco that I normally smoke was put on back order or happened to be out of stock. So I'm wondering, who's smoking this stuff, is...

Home Bending Cigar Leaf--Use Wrapper or Filler?

Hey everyone, another blending question. For cigar leaf mixes, do you use the wrapper or the filler? Thanks for your help!

    Foreign Contaminants in Tobacco

I once found a nice chunk of netting in a tine of Squadron Leader. I smoked it anyway.

*** What Are You Smoking?*** (August 2017)

Andullo cut with Dark Flake. It's supposed to be unscented but you know how that goes.

What Lighters Would You Never Purchase Again?

I have a Zippo pipe lighter. Whenever I puff, the flame goes out. Bics never fail.

    Yet Another Crazy Tobacco Review.

My parents came to my place over the weekend and happened upon my closet, where I keep my tobacco tins. They shook their heads in disbelief. I tend to agree with him, I probably will never get around to smoking all of my tobacco.
