    Smoking in the Car

If I’m driving, I’m smoking. Usually a pipe on the way to work and a cigar on the way home... I make it a point to smoke in a new truck when I pick it up from the dealership as I go straight to the beach to break it in!

Good report! I recently found a half pound that I jarred 3 or 4 years ago (it had been in storage since we moved). I expected to smell what one would think heaven smells like, but it smell more like dirty fishing socks. I was nearly heartbroken so I closed the lid and put it back on the shelf. A...

    Amber Mason Jars

I had a Davidoff rep show me the effects of light (fluorescent tube lighting) on cigar wrappers in a walk in humidor. He showed how the wrapper faded on cigars that sat for extended periods exposed to the lights. There were various levels of fading on different types of wrappers as a marked...

The Briar Shoppe in Houston has a very nice pipe, tobacco, accessory and cigar selection with great hosts to top it off. Croft’s in Houston used to have a nice selection of pipes, tobaccos and accessories until they closed.

Warped has recently moved to the top of my favorites list, specifically the La Colmena Reina. Caldwell, Davidoff, Padron, Tatuaje, DTT, Byron Nelson and Atabey all have a place on my list of favorites as well.
