Show Off Your GBD Pipes (and 2nds)

That’s a stunner Al. Nice work. Is your other 9242 long like this one or the short fatty version. Btw, what’s the story on those two different shapes having the same shape number?

Well don’t give up on posting your fixer threads. Keep the “pointless” pics flowing. Show and tell are by far the most interesting posts for us old timers. Get well soon

    Thoughts on Hardcastle Tobacco Pipes

Hardcastle wasn’t always a Dunny second. They made a beautiful pipe once upon a time.

1907 BBB "Own Make" Bent Billiard

Lovely pipe. What’s the story on this one? A keeper, refurb, or selling? I have a soft spot for these old BBB’s. That would look right at home in my pipe stand. :puffy:

Jesse, that Erck is so craggy it looks like one might cut their hand. I love it.

**What's Under That Grabow Contest** - Photo and Vote thread

@monk Made of briar with holes. That’s too much. I love an underdog. That’s why I love my Grabow’s. Especially when a $10 estate turns out better looking and smoking than a high end pipe. Occasionally I’ll fire up a Dunny or fam era Sasieni, look down my nose at my Grabow’s while...

**What's Under That Grabow Contest** - Photo and Vote thread

Hmmm... I'm kinda surprised this thread didn't attract more people voting. Not too many Grabow fans on PipesMag. Most people think they’re cheap pipes because they’re inexpensive. As pure smoking qualities are concerned, they smoke just as well as anything else.

Show Off Your LHS Pipes Here

The diamond logo is on almost every briar stamping. Stem treatment is another story. Silver diamond Silver Circle Yellow dot(s) Red dot(s) Blue dot Red white blue dot Etc,etc LHS made over 500 shapes and a undetermined amount of models. I’m still finding stuff I’ve never seen or heard about.

**What's Under That Grabow Contest** - Photo and Vote thread

I liked seeing all the entries. The beater resto challenge was fun. We should do it again with another twist. My vote is for JoeMan. Joe’s restorations are top tier. His fine detail work is second to none. (Ok, maybe tied with Piffyr)

    GBD Cutty from the 1880's

That’s spectacular. Started in France, then both France and England until 1950 if memory serves.
