  3. elessar

    Neerup.

Both look great! How do they smoke? I have often looked at Neerup but never pulled the trigger.

    Refilling Butane Lighters

I did try topping up but I didn't like having to fill all the time. I prefer refilling when empty.

    Refilling Butane Lighters

I've got a Xikar Resource II butane and it works and refills great. The flame oscillates when it gets low. I vent the butane and refill with Xikar high altitude butane. I usually have to turn the flame down on a fresh refill.

    What Is Happening Here?

I use a methods similar to ssjones. Would recommend an alcohol soak (I use everclear) and wet sand from there. I like the alcohol as it mixes with water left over on the briar and it also evaporates very quickly after a soak. You will see dark spots as the alcohol evaporates. Perhaps...

    Hello from Scotland

Welcome from MN. Spent some time in Scotland last year. Still Game is one of my favorite shows on Netflix. Watching season 8 right now. I recommend something better than Drum tobacco though lol.

    How Do They?

This is how it is done. Drill head on a flexible shaft, fed through a rigid guide tube, which is itself supported by another guide fixture. Pretty simple on big holes. Quite tricky on small holes.

    Any Morel Mushroom Hunters

Around here in MN there are some that are very close in appearance. They usually are not hollow like true morels.

    Any Morel Mushroom Hunters

Not quite true. There are false morels to watch out for. They are not edible.

What Are You Listening To (April 2020)

For me, the rhythmic buzz of twin pulse-mig welding robots.

    Any Morel Mushroom Hunters

I used to hunt them every year, until I became allergic. Now since I can't eat them, I don't bother. But damn they are delicious, almost worth it. Keep an eye out for dead elm trees, more specifically dying elm trees. That is a dead ringer for morels in my neck of the woods.

    Favorite Arms Manufacturer

Because it hasn't been mentioned I will go Walther. My PPQ has been exceptional. The ergonomics on the Walther were far superior to Glock for my hands, ymmv. I just shoot it better. Also, the PPQ trigger is great for a striker fired pistol. Shit hits the fan, I grab the Walther. For other...

Keeping It Smokey During C19 Lockdown

The lockdown continues. Enjoying some SPC Plum Pudding SR on a very windy day.

Show Off your ATF here, Minus the A [guns]

If I carry, these are my go to hand cannons. Hard to beat the PPQ. Just built a custom Glock 17 with Apex trigger and it doesn't hold a candle to the Walther.

Show Off your ATF here, Minus the A [guns]

I appreciate that. AR's, the 15 especially, is an easy build. Also easy to upgrade as you go. Get a good barrel, trigger, and optics and you are there. The rest is just window dressing for the most part.
