    Dunhill Dating - Help appreciated

1951! For some reason Dunhill didn’t date-stamp in 1951. The patent number, Group number, and lack of date code puts this surely at 1951. My dad’s birthyear!

C&D Mississippi Mud - First Impressions (mild!)

I smoked a tin of this in my beginning year of pipe smoking. I hated it, but I also smoked it wayyy too hot and it tasted like sweaty dirty socks. I have considered revisiting it, but looking back at my notes and reviewing my memory, this blend is very cavendish heavy, which I think I could...

    1926 Dunhill Shape #10 (extremely rare) -- Restore & Re-Stem

Is that pipe on the smaller side, George? The one of mine I am referring to is the one pictured on the right, second from the top. I sold it because it was too small for my liking.

    1926 Dunhill Shape #10 (extremely rare) -- Restore & Re-Stem

That’s a real beauty! I had one very much like it. I am hypothesizing that the 10 may be the inner tube size designation. My pipe like that did not have a shape stamped on it, like many Dunhills from that particular era. Beautiful work, George. Also, it looks like the white spot on the...

    Dunhill Question 1955 or 1965

I think that’s been designated an aftermarket stamp. That conclusion doesn’t quite satisfy me, but I think it’s as close as we can get with the current information available.

Hi from Atlanta - Researching NIB Dunhill Shell Briar 6003

That’s a 103 Shape, so whatever Group Number ;general size number) it is will be first, followed by the 103. Yes please, a nice shot of the bottom stamping will tell us a lot about the pipe!

Dunhill 41 Billiard With No Made In England Stamp Question

It’s defiitely 1920s, no doubt. I can’t look now, but I think lack of date code puts this 1920-1922?
