    They can be sanded away very gently and rewaxed, which is what I do with estate meerschaum. It’s a lot of careful work, though.

    Good places to check for authenticity on Dunhill stems is the tenon and the slot. Dunhill tenons have a little shoulder slant where the tenon meets the stem, and the slot has rounded sides, rather than the very rectangular look that is more common.     The Haunting was really good. I have been tempted by the other two but never got them...I got one each of these newer two. My favorite cigar costs as much for one as an entire tin of tobacco, so I’m excitedly exploring these cigar leaf mixtures for my wallet’s sake haha.

    I have a Savinelli that’s done this. I am planning on just waxing over it with the buffing wheel because I like a smooth shine, and a little color discrepancy won’t bother me if that occurs. If you’re looking to make it look correct, I’d recommend stripping off the gloss coat and then waxing it.

    BLWB? What Do You All Think of It?

    I get a lot of propylene glycol taste from it, which doesn’t agree with me. I like the flavor, but most aromatics I’ve tried have too much PG, which I sadly don’t enjoy.
