Anyone Else Not A Fan Of The P-Lip

I’m an idiot and I just like how they look, so I adjust my preferences to suit the stem because the neat look is worth it to me. ??‍♂️?

Funny And Odd Sayings From Our Elders

This is a great thread! When my grandpa would pass gas, he would say, “Whoops! Stepped on a frog!” My grandmother spoke fluent Spanish, and she would always exclaim “Aye, qué lindo!” (“oh, how beautiful!”) whenever she’d see us, and I remember thinking as a kid that it was all one word...

    Just a Quick Question

Gawith stuff should be jarred, in my opinion. Tins fail easily and boxes are just in a plastic bag, so long term storage with jars is best.

    Jut Won This on Ebay!

That one may be more intended for cigars than for loose leaf, but I’m not sure. Could work for both! Let us know how you like it!

Minor Problem with an Old Pipe

The sourness may be due to oxidation of the stem. Is it black, or has it discolored? Removing oxidation is a bit of a task, but there are a lot of resources here to help with that.

    Syrian Latakia

Six months ago, I played a gig out of town in Philadelphia. While there, I stopped into a cigar shop to see what pipe stuff they might have had, and they had Vintage Syrian tins for $17. That was a very happy surprise! Thanks for this heads-up. I’m supplied, but this will be a neat treat for...

    Dunhill Shell Briar 120 F/T 4s

If I could get it for $30, I’d be happy to mess around with repairs. 120s are pretty cool. I’m watching that one too. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it go for $80+.

Help: Dating a Dunhill (Part 2)

Is that an underlined 19 after “England”? If so, then this is a 1979.

Help: Dating a Dunhill (Part 1)

Red Barks started early 1970s...that one has been pretty abused. Someone replaced the stem and did a number on the shank, rusticating over the grand sin of “restorations,” an over-buffing job, haha. Red Barks went into the mid-1980s, I believe, so, this one at least is between 197(1?2?)-198(5?)
