    Pipe Cleaner Conundrum.

The blue /white involves bristles and cotton and are really thick. Once cracked a mouthpiece pulling it through with force. Since that happened I used it only on pipe shanks. The thinner white cottons For delicate mouthpieces.

    The Virtues of Black Coffee

Good morning once I read one of your posts I found out your s great tale teller. Now you evolve on a more pragmatic question. But I didn’t get the point. What’s wrong about black coffee?

Samuel Gawith Flakes are Hard to Smoke

I love to listen to ye „oldish“ tough cookies. Grown up in gloomy suburbs, climbing up slippery welsh slate piles, the stormy crags of the south or guarding highland cattle in the mountain mist. They were those young hooligans on the rampage, sturdy individuals, always seen with a pipe...

    Excorcising a Lakeland Ghost

But the Oldenkotts made good pipes in Germany in former days. I think they still do today.

    Excorcising a Lakeland Ghost

Did you ream out the cake? Cleaned airway, mortise and stem with alcohol? I once had a ghosted pipe, it took a few weeks to get that scents out while smoking. I tried cotton pads, salt with alcohol with no effect. It gave the tobaccos a certain aroma. Now I am missing it.

Samuel Gawith Flakes are Hard to Smoke

I won’t go for Bothy Flake any more. I have a leftover still right now. Smoked it once in a while for over a month. Same experience you made with it. It’s almost dry, and I rub it out excessively to small pieces some of it to dust. Also cube cutting didn’t do the job for me. Still it’s hard to...

    Irish twist xx

Just had those old heavy machines, not so much left, in mind to press vinyl records. A lot of preparation, heat, tons of pressure to shape a clump of dust into a high end product. It’s also a process that is a leftover of a once flourishing industry almost an anachronism. And the results were...
