Some of my premoulded stems whistle in high pitch. Since I drill my own stems there is no whistle at all. The birch thing on the first one is amazing, but the flow and canted bowl of the second is simply classic. I vote for the second. -

Easy vote, for the first one. Especially for that stem thing. The red lacquer/ stain whatsoever on the second is not to my liking also the multi coloured discotheque light stem. Although the pencil shank is done well the bowl stands out in bad proportion. -

@Brendan it should smoke nice, as said before maybe the preformed stem is a surprise. The Scottish Mixture is my daily choice because I can’t get not a lot of nice tobaccos here in South Africa. Disappointing QC
It reminds me of the second button slit I made right at the beginning of stem manufacturing. It was the attempt of opening up the slit with the handheld piece moving into and across a 1,5 millimetre drill. -
