    Real Asbestos pipe

That’s the point as long as asbestos fibres are sealed it won’t do no harm. But I also wouldn’t smoke it. Nevertheless if you’re a pipe collector that one might be the missing piece. And why shouldn’t you sell it?

    Cutty Madness. Match 5.

Vote clearly for Nr 2. that’s a fine piece of art, with a beautiful flow, almost British understatement. The other one is as tacky as a Gucci handbag you might wear it for one campaign or one night stand.

    Clan Cob Unite!

Also love cobs, easy pipes to smoke. Have several different shapes. Couldn’t get one at a tobacconist I n my hometown near cologne although he sells some briars. He looked at me and asked if I were a US-farmhand to shove a dirty cob in my pocket. Other pipes would suit better. I’m not a...

    Tight stem.

Graphite is a good lubricant without the drawbacks of oils or waxes, which tend to change in consistency over time, and become sticky. Also first choice to lubricate any locks or hinges.

    Is This Pipe Drilled Improperly?

Charcoal, Plaster of Paris, salt. But I would leave it as is, better moisture in the bowl than gurgling upwards.

“Restoring” a 19th century Yankee No.0 plug slicer.

What kind of paint do use to n that one?

***What Are You Smoking, February 2023?***

Miles and Chet, I really like to listen, especially Bitches Brew is a revelation. I also like In Silent Way and Live Evil of that era.

***What Are You Smoking, February 2023?***

Thanks for that, got it in a junk shop for a few bucks. A 1970s pipe. The former owner allowed to build some cake. To much for my liking I scraped most of it out with a pipe nail. Now I keep it clean as far as possible. I know there are a lot who prefer cake, but hey it’s briar the most heat...

***What Are You Smoking, February 2023?***

There have been times in Germany pupils learned Latin and Greek to get to university. I only had five years of Latin at school, Greek wasn’t recommended in the 1970s any more. Smoking Scottish Mixture in the Georg Jensen Chimney.

    "Gateway" English Blends

To my taste Squadron Leader was to mild, the Latakia amount to small, couldn’t understand the hype. Good tobacco no doubt, not to my liking.

    "Gateway" English Blends

M Peterson Mixture 965, one of the Dunhill remakes did the job for me. I am smoking Virginias as well as Latakia And no Bothy flake is just a whiskey aromatic, with a hint of Latakia. In my view it’s not a typical English blend.

    Mold ?

Maybe if there’s only the whiskey and no earthy, stale musty elements, it might be okay.
  17. UB 40

    Mold ?

Take a loupe and use your nose. Mold doesn’t smell like whiskey loaded SG Bothy.
  18. UB 40

    Mold ?

    Yes it is.
