My vote is #1, sleek and it looks like someone has always wanted to make chair legs on the lathe.
The other just has such a stubby stummel.

#1 in fact I don't like #2. It reminds me of that one recipe I tried the other night. It just doesn't work. Interesting idea and all that but just not working for me. #1 ain't bad either but for it was zero debate.
Though it does amaze me how many of these I am expecting to know who the carvers are.
