Ropers Roundels is great! I didn't like it this much in the beginning but it has become a favorite. The trick for me is really rubbing out the cavendish core, so you just get a bit here and there. Lovely smoke.
There's also McConell Highgate, which I'll be trying soon.
Billy Budd original has burley with cigar leaf and latakia. It's a great blend but you should enjoy big quantities of Latakia; so it wasn't for me. Billy Budd Blond though is a vaper with a little burley and a little cigar leaf, and it was delicious to me.
It was alright. I don't like aros so that's the max I can say. But if you like this kind of flavors in your pipe, I would say that it's a good tobacco.
Probably Kentucky Bird, or Clan. The Borkum Riffs are pretty bad as well.
Also, Peterson Nightcap and Early Morning are supposed to be good, but I couldn't finish the tins.
That only happened to me with these few blends. Oh, and Rattray Bagpiper Dream. The topping just made me sick.
Yes, it was not overtly floral, but I recall a big difference between both. At least in the version that was made in Spain, which is the one I tried. It was smokier and stronger as well, so maybe it had more dark fired
Old St Bruno was more of a Lakeland with a floral topping. Current MacBaren version shares few things in common and the topping is vinegar plus MacBaren's typical flavors. Although I preferred the older version, it's a good tobacco. I smoked a lot of it time ago.
I put them in a pot with water just below the lids and keep it close to boiling for 20 minutes. Then take the jars and put them upside down. The lids don't have to be fully tight so the air can escape and suck the lids in.

What you could do with the jars is just sealing them with a water bath. I store many tobaccos like that and they keep perfectly.
As for the "dry storage", be careful. It might mean that those tobaccos need to be stored dry. All commercial tobaccos have PG or Glycerin to...
