    Unique Tobacco, please?

Dreams of Kadath is definetely unique, as well as Mad Fiddler flake I think. SG Black XX too.

    First Time Casing

Best anti-mold solution: keep your tobacco on the dry side. That way I haven't had any problems with whole leaf tobacco. And it's exactly how I enjoy smoking it too. I've never used PG so I can't help with that, but my advice would be not using it at all.

    Throw out Disgusting Tobacco?

Maybe it's been said already, but a way that works for me, with tobaccos I don't like, is giving them a hot water bath for 45 minutes - 1 hours. It has improved a few tobaccos I didn't care for.

Where Do I Go From Here?

The same for me. I like most tobaccos at first, then I don't want to smoke them anymore. The ones that pass the test are the ones that I keep reaching again and again.

    Cavendish Blend Question

Both taste, aroma and smoking qualities change very much from the original leaf which it's made with, so it makes sense to me that it is considered a different component on its own. And yes, cavendish changes a lot depending on its original leaf, so I guess it's just up to the blender to decide...

Where Do I Go From Here?

There's so many, I can only recommend you my personal favorites. Something with not too much Perique at first. McConell Black Parrot is very good. GLP Telegraph Hill, or maybe Fillmore, since you already are into English blends. Rimboche AP or SJ (although I don't know if they are available in...

    McConnell Red Virginia

It is cased with the same stuff that most K&K virginias have, but I didn't think of chocolate when I tried it. That's what I remember. Not an impressive tobacco. Scottiah Cake or Black Parrot are better, specially the last one.

Where Do I Go From Here?

Va-pers usually are bite-free tobaccos, easy to smoke and very flavorful. So if you haven't tried any, I suggest you do that. As you've been told, pure virginias can be a bit tricky at first, but perique really makes things easier.

    Lane Ready Rubbed Discontinued?

I dillute in warm water, one small teaspoon per 50ml. Then warm up the tobacco in the oven or microwave and lightly spray with the casing. I actually add another teaspoon of chocolate syrup, and that makes a nice burley casing. The quantity that you spray is a matter of tastes. I just spray the...

    Tobacco Cuts…Which One?

Too thin cut. They burn too fast for me, and I have to pay more atention to the smoke that I'd like to.

    Tobacco Cuts…Which One?

Pressure changes the tobacco flavor, so the same blend will taste different when you press it. That doesn't mean it will be better, just different. Originally, flakes and ropes served to keep tobacco fresh. But now there's no difference since most tobacco comes flooded with humectants. Some...

Cellaring Query - What are You Cellaring Most?

I don't have much of a cellar. Actually, most tins that I have stored are the ones I don't want to smoke anymore haha. When I was trying all new tobaccos, I didn't see the need to buy lots of any of them yet. And now that I now what I like and I could buy in larger quantities, buying from the...

    Capstan

    Good idea

    Organic Tobacco

But it has already been made in cigarette tobacco, so I assume it's possible to do it for the pipe.

    Organic Tobacco

There is no organic in the pipe world that I know of (except for whole leaf, as you guys have stated). Is there no interest for it? I would prefer to smoke organic for sure. And I don't think it would be much more expensive.

    Zippo for Pipes

I'm curious to know this as well.

    Capstan

Not my blend. It's easy to get here in the tobacco shops and cheaper than average, so I've given it a few chances. But I find the Virginias meh and I don't like the topping.

    Whew! Not for Me!

I never had to go beyond step one with any ghost. A bit of hot water and the pipes are fresh like the first day!

    Maryland Tobacco?

It's a kind of light air-cured tobacco, like Burley
