Beware use of unspecified lighter fluid use in your Zippo!

I use the Ronson fluid with no problems. If I remember correctly Ronson is now owned by Zippo.

    New to pipes any help

Welcome to the forum ! Buy a couple more cobs and experiment with different blends to find out what you like. Your Willard was made by Dr. Grabow back in the 60's-- 70's as a coupon pipe for RJ Reynolds and was also sold in military exchanges. Most have nylon stems with the Ajustomatic feature.

    Linkmans Special Punch Board Display.

Thanks Gents! Yes,kinda, You paid two cents to punch out a hole that has a slip of paper in it. Paper would tell you if you won a prize. Dave,if they have unfiltered Chesterfied I would like to have a pack. I believe it is from the 1930's judging from the price of the pipe-- $1.00 The...

    Linkmans Special Punch Board Display.

I picked this up on Ebay a while back and finally got it filled with pipes-- and cigarettes. This display was never used, all of the punch holes still have the little slips of paper in them although a couple of them are open. I didn't have enough Grabow "Specials" to fill it but the guys over at...

    Rare Grabow?

davet, nice CW. Linkman made them in four shapes--IIRC. They pop up every so often. The red Color Duke did go a bit high.Someone may have wanted it to complete a collection--there are guys who collect the painted pipes. It may not be smoked. Could be a model produced when they were still...

    Rare Grabow?

Don't see many of those Sam.Your 9419 is larger than the pipe on Ebay. I believe only the Select Grain had that type of band. I have only one with that band- a 9484 billiard.

    Rare Grabow?

You are correct in that Grabows were made in the millions- but-there are a few "rare" Grabows out there Steve. Try finding a shape 91 or 39 Linkman Grabow,or a Linkman Grabow stamped "West Coast Briar" or a Sparta made "Unique" of which approximately 500 were made ( HAND Made- BTW) or a...

    Rare Grabow?

It's a nice pipe but that one is going a bit high I'd say. Not particularly rare as Linkmans go-- it's a Deluxe, not a Select Grain or Tru-Grain. That seller always seems to get good prices for his Linkmans. They are clean and shiny and well presented. I'll pay extra for clean and shiny--but not...
