    When to Sell Estates

I'm still too new to pipes in general and I am a collector, so I haven't culled any estate pipes from my now very large rotation. That said, there are certainly a couple that really don't have much appeal to me and I don't feel compelled to smoke with far better options available. Eventually I...

    When to Sell Estates

    This is the way.

To Ream Or Not To Ream...

I've only ever used a reaming tool on estate pipes with excessive cake. I have a Decatur reaming set for this purpose, which I use to get rid of the worst of the cake before switching to sandpaper for the more delicate work. I've had estate pipes with chambers so caked that you really couldn't...

What Music Are You Listening to? - February 2023

    Agreed. Bon Scott was awesome.

    Cutty Madness. Semifinals Match 2.

Toughest one yet. I really love both of these. I'm going with number 2, but I wish I could pick both.

    Cutty Madness. Semifinals Match 1.

This one is nearly impossible choose. I'm voting number one because I like the dark blast a little more today.

    Cutty Madness. Quarterfinals Match 4.

As much as I love the bamboo, I have to go with #1.

    Cutty Madness. Quarterfinals Match 3.

Very tough call, and again I'd be happy with both pipes. I'm going to vote for the more simple, elegant, classic design of number two. The point tapered edge at the front of the bowl is a really nice touch.

Oregon Proposes Ban on All Flavored Tobacco

I refer to Austin as the Portland of Texas. Having visited both cities numerous times over the years I can say that Portland is far worse. It's also no coincidence that both cities have the unofficial motto, "Keep [city name] weird".

That about sums it up, brother.

Oregon Proposes Ban on All Flavored Tobacco

Nothing going on here in Oregon, or most other places, makes logical sense anymore.

    Ropp Pipes

I have a recently acquired Ropp Cherrywood estate pipe and I am amazed at how well it smokes. It's one of my favorite pipes already.

Oregon Proposes Ban on All Flavored Tobacco

15 years ago Portland was a paradise compared to what it is now. The last time I was there was in 2016 and it was an absolute shit hole, literally. It has gotten much worse since then according to everyone I know who has been there in recent years. Most people I know simply avoid going there now.

Oregon Proposes Ban on All Flavored Tobacco

I have no doubt that they will.
