    Your best pipe...

My Tom Eltang rusticated poker. Lightweight, striking, and with the thinnest button of all. Smokes like a bad mf and very easy to clean.

Hey Mister! Your Pipe Is Awesome!

No worries, I didn't take it to heart. I just had to make it clear that it was not the case with me. Which one is the socially accepted drug?

Hey Mister! Your Pipe Is Awesome!

That really has nothing to do at all with my ire. I am as radically opposed as you can be to the State/gubernment having the power to decide if an individual can or cannot introduce whatever substance they choose to in their own body: sodium, trans fat, sugar, alcohol, marijuana, tobacco...

Hey Mister! Your Pipe Is Awesome!

There is a rap song from the late 90s here in Brazil called "Cachimbo da Paz" which means "Peace Pipe". Despite the profound name, its lyrics defend the use of illegal drugs and it's beloved by marijuana apologists. So while I did have some positive interactions and compliments from strangers...

A Dunhill Fan Went to London...

No pictures of your trip? I am planning to visit a friend who lives in London next year. Great looking pipe, by the way.

    Do You Smoke Your Dottles?

I always aim to smoke the bowl down to ash. Only dottle remaining should be a couple of specks of unburnt tobacco if I do it right. So, in a way, I do smoke the dottle.

    Muletown Pipe Show at BriarWorks!

I really wanted to attend as BW is my favorite factory brand and the new shop in Columbia looks great in pictures, but I'm not even from the US. Maybe someday. I hope you guys have a great time there!

    Dunhill Tobaccos Rebranded as Peterson

I was never a fan of Dunhill blends but I'm very happy it turned out well for all those who appreciated it. We as pipe smokers deserve some little victories like this one.

James Upshall Pipes - A Discussion

@kenbarnes I was placing it in the 80's following all the information in this thread. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and a little bit more about my pipe!

James Upshall Pipes - A Discussion

@ssjones got it really really cheap! I'm very happy with it.

James Upshall Pipes - A Discussion

Hello, Ken! Inspired by your posts and stories in this thread I got me a James Upshall grade G. Think you could tell me anything about it?

    Castello Sea Rock

Thank you, oldgeezersmoker. I did notice the inconsistency, hence my question. I wasn't really worried about nomenclature pr se but was trying to make my life easier looking for my ideal first Castello. Oh well.

    Castello Sea Rock

I like the natural one that gets gradually darker towards the rim of the bowl. How is that one called?

    Cult Blood Red Moon

I'm just going to play Devil's advocate here, but has anyone here ever tried tinned Q1? It tastes noticeably different from the bulk version. Just like bottled, soda fountain and canned coke do. Maybe the tinning itself makes a difference.

My Experience Sending Estate Pipes to SPC

I have always wondered if it would be wise to send pipes to SPC instead of putting them up on ebay since I got pretty good deals purchasing estate pipes from there and could not imagine the slice you get would be worth it. Huh.

    Big Ben (Gubbels) pipes bankrupt

    Thank you very much, Arno.

    Big Ben (Gubbels) pipes bankrupt

Can we get a link to the news/source? Even if not in english. I want to understand better the case.

What are your top five favorite non-aromatic?

Well, "non-aromatic" is a really broad group of tobaccos - we'll have virginias, vapers, unflavored cavendish, burley based, orientals, english, "balkan", scottish, semois, lat bombs... So you'll have a lot to take in. I'll give you 5 of my favorite blends together with its type. I am a...

    Castello Pipe Shapes

Michael, thank you for your input, I have found it very helpful and agree with you. I don't think of myself as a stickler for classic shapes as I am very passionate about the danish and the american schools - which make up the majority of my collection. So I very much appreciate tweaks and...

    How Do You Clench?

I bite the flat part of a saddle stem and use the button as a hook behind the teeth. That's why I don't clench tapered stems as they don't feel comfortable to my style of clenching.
