    Your Go-To Virginia

I'm enjoying Cringle Flake 2020 so much right now that I couldn't imagine it ever being absent from my rotation.

Perique Pipe Tobacco (American Spirit Black)

I also smoked those at one point in my cigarette days. Former's straight grain flake reminded me of them, interestingly enough.

    New Fancy Plug Knives

Between your Alaskan commissioned pipe series, and other odds and ends (such as those knives), I feel confident in saying - You have good taste.

    Possibly Another Favorite

I was also surprised by that one. Had a weird taste from the casing that, after some jar time and a year of waiting, became excellent. Full flavored, very easy smoking, smooth, and very consistent. Not too much dark-fired presence too, which is to my preference.

The West Coast Pipe Show 2022 Is Back!!!!

I'd love to go, exciting stuff

    Rouxgaroux vs. Rhythm & Blues

Different blends to me. Little more of a bright/brown/mahogany thing with R&B, and very light in the perique. Rouxgaroux is a red VA/Per and red wine taste to me. Tangy and sweet.

What Pipe Would You Buy if You Had $200 to Spend?

Not any of my recent acquisitions, i'll you that. I need a timeout. Only estates have been good to me recently.

***What are You Smoking, April 2022?***

I've found that blend to age VERY well, and I'm one of those "I've lost the taste for Latakia" guys.

What Underrated Blends in Production do You Now Cellar?

I'll admit alot of what I've liked and cellared deeply can be tough(er) to get, or no longer made, but the following aren't and I like them just as much: -Low Country Waccamaw -Warped: The Red Hunt -Warped: Kings Stride -Sutliff Match Elizabethan -The D&R Rimboché Blends -Assorted K&K VA flakes...

    Free Pre-War Barling Catalog

Very very cool. I'm not too familiar with Barling, other than what I've seen posted on the 'Bay and on forums. Had no idea they offered so many shapes! Some very cool/unique ones as well. Great job, it looks fantastic.

Tell Me about Sutliff Match Victorian

Like said above, ages well. Gets pretty plummy. I don't get much of a lemon/citrus taste, more on the Red VA side of things. Responds well to stoving, pressing, and blending (I prefer it as is). Burns great. No bite. No harshness. The casing is very light/unobtrusive, it's sugar-based, reminds...

Ryan Alden Saves a 1904 Peterson Meer Bulldog

Hope Ryan sees this thread. He did a great job, and both of you should be proud.

Public Service Announcement re: Samuel Gawith tins

Unfortunately I was behind on the sealing issue, as it wasn't initially reported/addressed when I first bought the bulk of my SG tins (maybe a year and a half ago?). I've opened up tins from sealed mylar recently that look to have molded before being sealed. Loose/easily opened lids on those...

    FVF - Too Much Age?

I've noticed that temperature plays a huge huge factor as to speed of aging. Blends at a consistent 50° in my dark, semi-underground garage, against earthen shorn concrete cinder blocks, age very, very slowly. The same blends in the trunk of my work car, exposed to the elements, parked...

    Man Cave Finally Complete

    Jealous, that's awesome. Congrats.

    Chacom #4, Where Art Thou?

It was very cheap for a while, and didn't sell well I'm guessing for how long it stayed available and "on sale." It among many that I bought a small amount of and will get to eventually.

    Wedding Cigar Help.

Since weight is a factor, and because special occasion cigar smokers don't finish what they start, may I suggest Padron 2000 or 3000.
