Top Five Concerts You Wish You'd Been At?
I had tickets to see Linton Kwesi Johnson, the great 'dub poet' back in the '80s in LA when he toured with Dennis Bovell's crack band. Only problem was I showed up the day after the concert happened. Alternatives to Whiskey & Pipe
I find that sweeter, malty brown beers often go very nicely with many tobaccos. Also sweet liqueurs like Kahlua, Irish Mist, Drambouie, etc. They are lower in alcohol than whiskey and not as hard on the mouth.- Puff nstuff

Coniston Cut Plug
I'm only a few bowls in on my Coniston, but I really really like it. It's got a rich brown flavor, but also with the sweetness from the toppings coming through that blend surprisingly well with the dark fired leaf. A very satisfying smoke for me.- Puff nstuff

Virginia Creeper Wood
Plus, it's a vine. I'm no botanist, but I know that the wood of vines is generally quite soft, especially when compared to traditional plant-based pipe materials like briar, olive wood, pear wood, etc. Probably totally unsuitable for handling combustion.- Puff nstuff

Ahh finally got flake tobacco right!
That's a great, detailed description of the method that I have also found to work really well, @SBC ! I might also add that I've found certain pipes (like dublins with taller conical bowls) seem to lend themselves better to the whole affair. It's not as complicated as one might think it is.- Puff nstuff

Best Light Weight Pipes?
