    Show-Off Your Stanwell Pipes Here!

My only Stanwell, a Vario 29 of recent vintage. It's a nice pipe for aromatics.

    British Tea Time

I am drinking chai with milk at this very moment. I like Thai and Indonesian curries best. And I definitely take cream in my coffee.

    Show Off Your Bulldogs/Rhodesians

My first bulldog was purchased recently from a fellow forum member. I'm very happy with my purchase - it looks and smokes great. Middleton Silvay with a removable stinger in wonderful condition.

    My First Poker Pipe

I own only one briar poker, a Jobey 'hand rubbed' that was purchased from Blue Room awhile back. While researching the pipe I found an old print ad that features the same pipe. I also have a MM Washington cob in a poker-ish configuration that gets a lot of use.

    Show Us Your Molina Pipes

I own only one Molina, gifted to me by a friend on another forum. It's one of my only full bent pipes, and the only one that takes 9mm filters. I use the large balsa inserts and smoke OTCs and aros from it, and it works very well. I think it's marketed as a starter model.

    Show Off Your Barlings Here

I own only one Barling, probably not a particularly special pipe on its own merits, but it's a very special pipe for me. This is pipe #1, the first pipe I ever purchased. I bought this Barling Londoner 4805 zulu-ish oval-shanked Dublin at an independent shopping mall tobacco shop in the mid '80s...

    SAT Question

If you're open to more suggestions, I'd say Gawith Hoggarth's Glengarry Flake would satisfy your sweet Virginia desires AND be a great introduction to Lakelands as an all-Virginia with honey and light floral toppings. I enjoy OGS, LNF, and similar, and when I tried Glengarry I was VERY happy...

Will Bing’s Favorite Stem Fit Another Pipe?

Me, I'd maybe buy a similar Sav billiard in a standard length with the same filter size and get your old stem worked to fit the new pipe - then you'd have a 'night & day' convertible pipe! I guess the OD of the new pipe shank would need to be equal to or less than the existing Bing stem for this...

    Show Us Your Savinelli Pipes!

My one and only Savanelli isa Punto Oro Mister G 404. I bought this pipe in the '80s as my second pipe purchase. Looks sharp and smokes great!

    Luxardo

Amarena cherries work great. Sometimes Trader Joe's sells them under their own label - a real steal!

    Seeking Exceptional Bourbons

You've done your shopping, and I'm late to the party. You have a lot of good drinking ahead of you!! My suggestions would have been Dickel 12, Evan Williams Single Barrel, Henry McKenna 10 year old, and really any of the higher level Weller products for special occasions.

Looking For A Really Good Pipe Lighter

I've been very happy with the Vertigo Puffer that I ordered from P&C.

    Bings Favorite Style 9mm Pipe?

Here's a nice one to start with. Get a longer stem made later and you've got a swanky convertible pipe that even Bing himself would be proud to own! https://www.smokingpipes.com/pipes/new/Rattrays/moreinfo.cfm?product_id=457997

    Bings Favorite Style 9mm Pipe?

Maybe you could start by looking for a standard 9mm billiard or Canadian (a Savanelli Siena 111 for example) and then have a custom stem made for it.

HH Old Dark Fired Ready Rubbed

This stuff is flat out delicious.

    Second Look: Drexel VIII

I'd wager it's strictly a Virginia and perique affair - I get none of the smokiness of DFK from the flavor profile. It's typical bready Virginia with some mild figgyness.

    Second Look: Drexel VIII

Drexel VIII was my first flake and my first VaPer. I liked it quite a bit for the tobacco-forward flavors and raisin undertones. It led me to buy more flakes and VaPers that I've thoroughly enjoyed, but I bought couple more pouches of DVIII and jarred them for later. They already have 5 years...

Sorry to Say but this Ad is Deceptive.

'Off topic thread heros,' LOL. Sorry, but I was just offering an observation based on my own experience. I think differing opinions are still valued on this forum, and I'm really not one to dogpile on negative stuff. As far as the 'topic,' I touched on their pricing, which is a part of the...

Sorry to Say but this Ad is Deceptive.

I've made a few orders and have never had any issues with P&C thus far, but I've read many complaints about them. They often have excellent pricing on tobacco.

Drexel VIII flake in this Grabow Berwyck wire-brushed Dublin.
