    Brebbia

I have owned and smoked maybe a dozen Brebbias over the years. I still own 2 I believe, but maybe 3. They are just as nice as Savinelli or any other comparable name. It is just a marketing or brand thing like shoes or cars or anything else. Is Nike really that much better than Converse to...

    Savinelli "Fiammata 2" Question

I almost remember, old age stinks, that pipes with Fiammata 2 and a Sav shape number Italy are in fact not Savinelli seconds, but a very high grade designated piece of briar. The story went that these blocks passed the many eye tests and initial boring tests to progress to high grade status. It...

Rattray’s HOTW, Marlin Flake and Old Gowrie

"We often talk about cellaring before a blend gets taken off the market, but what's becoming more apparent is to cellar something you like before it's maker decides to alter it." This has saved me more times than I can count over the past 2 years.

    Aluminum Tenon on Meerschaum

It does the job. You can have someone with skill replace it with the other style. Someone will chime in with a good source to send it to. I have found this style to not work for me. The stems feel plastic.

    New Grabow Viking Clean-Up

I have cleaned many of these over the years. I have never had a bowl that did not turn out counter clockwise. There is nothing obstructing that is pipe related. It has to be gunk or whatever, hell someone may have even glued it. Try a heat gun, any of the soak methods should work. I always...

    Meerschaum HELP!!!

I bet this was the crack that broke the will of the poster and he tossed all pipes and pipe related items in that garbage can. He has also never looked back. He is on a beach somewhere enjoying a Phillip Morris vape pen and the pipe smoking mistake is a thing of the past.

Coloring Progress Over Time/No of Bowls in one Meerschaum Pipe

Is there a recap of the consensus so I do not have to read condorlover1's post's about a Colon Meter? Did I read that wrong?

    $2 Yard Sale Find

If you are just keeping it I would spend 5 minutes with a dremel and get creative with those fills. Do a worm trail :)

    Who Snagged This!?!

I agree that these terms are overused. I also see the other side. Sometimes when you put in the work and the pipe looks amazing you need a descriptive term. It seems that a lot of sellers just adopt the norm for this and call it rare, near mint, mint, unique. But in the sellers eyes it very...
