Pursuit of History Assignment – Bring in Something Historical

If possible go through your Grandfathers shed, should be plenty of subjects, and it would be from your family. Or maybe ask the Old Cajun if you can borrow a goodie. :puffpipe:

    WWII Vets What A Generation

Dad followed Paton through Africa, Sicily, Anzio, he was in five beach invasions, was awarded a silver star, bronze star, various campaing ribbons and turned down a purple heart because it was only a torn ear. I miss him, and salute all our WWII vets. Thanks Bradley, for the topic.

The Only Thing Better Than A Beautiful Woman Smoking A Pipe

Looks like a great time in Italy Zack. For those of us who have tried marriage and failed, Harris may be getting the better deal.

How much tobacco do you smoke in a month? Year?

I've been ordering a tad over two pounds per month and I figure I use about 12 oz. or so, per month based on what I've cellared. I don't have any records, so this is a guesstimate. I'm working on a smoking room in my basement, otherwise the winter will cause a cutback.

The Last US Rope Man - A Caricature!

A forum member, Mike Phillips, who works rediculous hours through the summer has posted about making his own rope. I have been anticipating his return to the forum during the colder months when he is semi retired, and will have time to post on his rope making experiment. His post was title...

    What Did You do Today?

Painting a room in the basement, later I will be installing birch wood flooring. I plan to put in an exhaust fan, so I will have a room to smoke in this winter. It gets dam cold here in the Teton Valley.

For the Remainder of Your Life

This is like asking a sex addict to chose a favorite partner. I'll pick Nitecap for this scenerio, but I sure don't want to limit myself to one tobacco.

    Can't Get Much Better Than This . . .

    Elk Are Bugling Again

I happen to live less than a mile from an elk ranch. The elk have been bugling for a week or so, and it seems like they are going stronger each day. It's a pleasant sound throughout the day and night. I have gathered two cord of firewood getting ready for the winter, I hope to cut one more cord...

    The Old Cajun In Here

I think my dog wrote this one. He eats anything that doesn't get away first.

    Charatan's Make 109 Rhodesian Restoration

Nice job on that stem. I recently replaced a stem on a Sav Autograph. I saved the old one and with your technique I can probably save it. Thanks for the lesson.

    Loved One's Passing

Dervis, your grandmother was a grand lady. Sorry for your loss. I will remember your idea of dedicating a pipe to a lost loved one, and start doing the same.

    Top 5 Pipes You Own.

I love this pipe, is light weight and smokes like a dream. It is one of his earlier pipes, when he spelled his name Bonaquisti. He apparently added the "c" at a later date. Pitchfork, your Salmon & Gluckstein is a beauty, a very old beauty. Thanks, I love the shape also, it is a size 2, I wish...

    Top 5 Pipes You Own.

Most elegant pipe I don't have an elegant pipe, so..... my Sav Autograph Most perfect to form, here's a 1962 Dunhill Prince. Most unique pipe, should probably be the Autograph above, a Ben Wade hand made. t Most smoked pipe, my Bonaquisti bent billiard, it smokes great. Oldest pipe, not sure...

Anyone Else Have any Weird Habits... Other Than Pipe Smoking

Before I got old and fat, I used to huck myself down steep snow covered slopes. I have plenty of memories and I become an even better skier in my memories.
