Well I Think Someone Likes The Smell Of My Pipe

My neighbor was a cigarette smoker until he whiffed some of my Frog Morton in his backyard. He now switched over to a pipe. Now that's a good neighbor!

What's your First Bowl in the Morning ?

Something light in the morning like an oriental forward blend and by evening it usually ends with a Lat bomb.

Smoke became tasteless in the final 1/3

I was packing too tight and was getting the same result. I also try to smoke slow, and even slower when I get down to the bottom third. However some tobaccos just "die" at the bottom. I personally found that with some of the Peterson Dunhill repros.

    Resting a Pipe

Sometimes I smoke the same pipe several times a day and others get "rested" for no reason, and I see no difference. I do keep my pipes clean though

    Stop The Gurgle.

I use lots of pipe cleaners, but there is nothing better than a slow dry smoke

Balkan Sobriane & Esoterica; What's the Deal?

I have taken up pipe smoking after a 40 year hiatus and years ago I smoked many of the "legendary" tobaccos that are bringing tremendous prices nowadays. To each his own, but I've found some wonderful tobacco that is currently produced, readily available and at a sane price. In fact, I found...

Who Puts his Pipes Away for Winter?

Since I smoke outside, I'm lucky to have a smoking club near me open 24 hours, 7 days a week. So I smoke the same all year round.

    Dishonorable Mentions

I smoked lots of Balkan Sobranie in the late 60s early 70s. Tried the new reissue and didn't like it at all. Boring in my opinion. White Knight and Black House are much better to my taste. The closest I've come is combining Black House and McClelland Balkan Blue 50/50. Blue is no longer...

    Hello From NY

Just retired and back to the pipe after a 40 year hiatus. Was a Latakia junkie back in the day and still am. Bought a few Larry Roush pipes which I am enjoying very much. Greeting to all!
