***What Are You Smoking, April 2023?***

Had some Plumcake in an MM Emerald earlier today; kinda breezy out on the patio which may be why I was mostly getting the Lat and burley...

***What Are You Smoking, April 2023?***

Enjoying teh heck out of some Stonehenge Flake in a Stanwell. Lovely cool evening on the back patio.

What are You Smoking (WAYS)- a Must Read?

I like to take a look at what folks are smoking (and the nice pipes) now and again, but there's no way I can keep up, which messes with my completist tendencies. I post when I think it would be interesting... I should take some pix to liven it up.

    De-Lurking (Or, Perhaps, Prairie-Dogging)

It's an illustration by Richard Scarry of some young bunny's father - it's from the '50s or so, when dads often smoked pipes. I've heard of rabbit tobacco over the years but never thought to look it up - lavender would be interesting!

Stonehenge in the old Yello-bowl prince (again). Good earthy virginias, and a nice bit of floral note just at the end. Not really noticing the perique, but very nice over all.

Hand Cut Deluxe System Stem For a WDC.

Here I was thinking four hours? It takes me longer than that to find my tools 😌 That's a great looking stem!

***What Are You Smoking, April 2023?***

2nd bowl for the night was Stonehenge in an old Yello-bowl prince. First time trying it - and I really like it. Too bad I've only got the one tin, though at the rate I smoke, it might return before I've finished this one.

Mac Baren Plumcake in a cob - man this stuff was hittin' on all cylinders. And here I am talking up my current VA/ VaPer kick...

Sipping with a bit air to it (like wine tasting)

I have an old Yello-bowl "Air Control" pipe that does this for you - it's essentially a leaky stem that can be adjusted from closed-off to allowing a small amount of air into the smoke. Not sure how much difference it really makes but the thing works well with VA flakes and such.

Thanks for welcoming me aboard, everybody!

    Ghost Busting by G.L. Pease

A couple of my cobs are "anything & everything" pipes, and it's kind of nice getting a bit of latakia ghost peeking into a vanilla aromatic. For me, I find a good strong english will overpower most ghosts.

    Brown Sugar Flake

From the descriptions, this sounds like like something I'd like to try, but not enough to turn myself inside-out to get it. Maybe when WCC gets some more; I'm looking forward to some Simply Red and/or Rhythm & Blues though...

    De-Lurking (Or, Perhaps, Prairie-Dogging)

That wasn't the sense of prairie-dogging I meant, but figured someone would go there 😂

    De-Lurking (Or, Perhaps, Prairie-Dogging)

Hello from (nearly) pipe-tobacco-free central Florida. I figure it's time to stop peeking in the windows and say hi, and maybe contribute something. I've been an on-and-off pipe smoker for many years, but have picked it up a bit lately, especially since I've gotten hooked on Virginias, VaPers...
