    Show Us Your marTelo Pipes!

I'm a massive fan of Gustavo, especially his stemwork - super-comfy. I can't take photos at the moment, so the Cutty will have to go unseen. But here are the two Operas he made me:

I can't take photos right now, but I have a Grainbug of his that I'm pretty pleased with.

Irish Mixture, Irish Cask, & Royal Yacht. Others are good, but those are the standouts for me.

G.L. Pease's Take on Panel Pipes

If it's not tfdickson's, I think I might have that one - I smoke it nearly every weekend. It's a glorious pipe!

Flip flips. Honorable mention: I am the toughest sweet - but that guy, he's #-*+ing menthol (variant: I am the toughest road surface - but that guy, he's a #-*+ing cycle path).

A Tobacco Storage Dream Come True

Good point. & something I always forget when I look at their prices. That Parcel Force fee really gets my goat for some reason. I tend to bundle purchases, where I can, to reduce my annoyance.

Me too! I emanaged to score a tin of McCranie’s Red Ribbon, which might be the nicest thing I've ever smoked. I don't think I ever really appreciated how awesome having that option was until it was gone (& there were some great deals too). It does sound like it's mainly a red tape issue & not...

Same - on both fronts. I got quite a bit of Mature Virginia from there too - & wow do I miss having that option. I've not tried the Arcadian Perique or the plug, but I did manage to score two tins of the HH Rustica, which was one I really wanted to try. Such a nice guy too! That was treat...

Same! It wouldn't surprise me if that was pre-Brexit. ODF & Bold Kentucky were the ones for me. & to think I used to bitch about HH Burley not being available! McConell was a big hit for me, but the HH line hurt the most.

I'd like to know that too - & whether they're getting hit by massive charges. Buying pipes from the EU post-Brexit has been much more painful than from the US. They seem to be looking much harder in that direction.

    Availability In UK Tobacco Market.

The EU I suspect. As I understand it there's a requirement for a minimum percentage of EU leaf otherwise the prices go through the roof. So they (& everyone else) need to find substitutes, abandon the EU as a market altogether, or bump what they charge by a lot. Its not been all bad, some new...

    London Pipe Shops

Agree with all of the above. There's much better range online. Segar & Snuff is the Covent Garden tobacconist. I like them. They only sell about 20 pipe tobaccos (at least a couple of those are GH), but it's a tiny shop.

The Pencil Shank Pipe Hazard (for purchasers)

Thanks, that's really useful & will guide me in future purchases. This sort of post is invaluable! You mentioned an industry standard for the heel. Is that 6mm?

Anyone Tried these New UK Plugs?

Price aside, this is great news. Thanks for the heads up! I'll definitely be adding the three non-Latakia blends to my next order.

    Brown Sugar Flake

Hello! Is this going to be available in the UK? There aren't enough Latakia-free blends with Oriental in them available at the moment, so I'm going to be very excited if it is. Either way, really appreciate you being so proactive on the forum. Thanks!

Lovely choice, if you can find a copy, him reading it is very special. Learning poetry by heart helped my dyslexia enormously & I love how they stick with you. This was the most recent I memorised: My Last Duchess by Robert Browning | Poetry Foundation -...

    Tobaccos only available in UK?

It's good for a physical location, as I remember- a lot of it, like the Peterson, is stuff that's readily available in the US though. The online places have much much better selections than any shop I've yet been to in person.

    Tobaccos only available in UK?

He'd have to be super lucky to stumble on any Germains, it's pretty much as unavailable here as anywhere else. I tend to buy cigars in the west end tobacconists, but looking at their prices & selection for pipes (Premium Pipes and Pipe Tobacco | James J. Fox -...
