How Important is Nicotine to You (After Quitting Cigs)

I use snus (los), nasal snuff, and smoke a pipe. Nicotine is important, but I have a very low tolerance and self medicate with only a slow, small trickle. When I start to notice it (and it doesn't take much) is when I lay off. I was also the kind of drinker (when I drank) who was fine having 2...

    Favorite 'All Day Smoke"

When I had a bit better nic tolerance, C&D pegasus was very repeatable. Now, I'm not sure. SWR would fit the role pretty well, and I enjoy it enough to repeat it. Not too strong either.

    Desert Island Thread

those who like it, love it and make it known, but it still seems like one of the lesser known C&D/Runowski burley blends.

Which of the Match Blends Do You Like?

I like the Elizabethan match, as well as the country doctor match which isn't mentioned much. Pretty tasty. The Edgeworth RR match is good as well.

    How Deep is Your Cellar?

I believe I have about 47 pounds. I'm starting to slow down a bit, but I've done this on a tight budget, and still when bulk sales pop up, I can't resist adding 8 oz or av pound here and there.

    Desert Island Thread

Probably C&D Pegasus. An underrated blend.

    D&R Ryback Short Review.

This and three sails are well represented. In my cellar. Occasionally the two mixed is nice as well, the cut being identical. Three sails is a more genteel companion, sort of the mirror opposite on the nicotine scale -- just north of mild rather than just shy of strong.

    Lakeland Dark, A Brief Review

Succinct review. I am working thru a tin slowly, due to being rather a nic wimp, but boy do I love it nevertheless...

What Did You Smoke Today? Cigars.

Some of these cheapies have been sitting in my small tupperdor for a long time, so I figured why not light one up. 3 years sitting, and it's "smooth as eggs"!

Country doctor match in a Grabow viking.

    McClelland: A Philosophical Question

I still feel really lucky that McClelland didn't really strike my fancy, nothing against those in the opposite camp. I do have two tins if 11 year old three oaks Syrian that I guess I'll hold onto for a while longer to look at and "feel rich". Not sure what they are going for these days....

Made A Big Mistake: Smoked A Cigar

If I had "screw you" money, I'd probably keep a stable of small vitola sticks around. As it is I smoke like two cigars a summer and call it good. My nicotine tolerance is low so that factors into my ambivalence.

    Any Good Summer Blend Recommendations?

Rimboche S.J., Russ O.'s Country Gentleman, and Pease's Montgomery. All tangy VAs. I'll also burn some haunted bookshop on hot days, in a smaller pipe.
