    WAF-wife acceptance factor

My wife doesn’t mind the VaPers. If she starts to demand I smoke Latakia we are going to have speaks. I can’t stand the stuff 😂

    Happy Christmas to ME!

I know of at least two more I’m missing. I doubt they will be with a group like these but one can always hope 😁

    Hello from Salt Lake City

Welcome from Tennessee. I read the Complete Works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle 50 or so years ago along with a good deal of Tolkien. I recently decided to revisit those classics. I’ve started with the Hobbit but finding it to not be holding my attention the way it did the first time. I rather think...

    One Movie That Scared Me.

Not exactly scared but Silence of the Lamb‘s came pretty close the first time I saw it

A Closer Look at Briar Grain

Fascinating discussion. I can’t make a direct comparison, at least that I’m aware of, but the biggest difference in taste of the pipes that I have are between English and Italian made pipes. I don’t know why but it’s distinctive and consistent.

Hey There and How Ya Doing from Central MN

Welcome from yet another Tennessean. My wife is from MN. Way up in Grand Rapids. She’s been in TN for going on 50 years so not as hale and hardy as she once was. In fact she was just moaning about the possibility of freezing precipitation in the next couple of days. Since I’m out of the country...

    Deer Tongue? That was easy!

I’ve never tasted it but was somehow aware of its existence. Has it always been condimental or ever smoked by itself?

And Now For Something Completely Different

It really is intricate and very high quality work. I’d love to know what kind of tusk that is. It’s not carved, just natural tusk. Walrus maybe? Saber Tooth Tiger?😁

    Hey from Middle Tennessee

Thank you. I only got to visit Spain once. Was in Bilbao for a couple of days. Loved it. What part are you from?

And Now For Something Completely Different

Just saw the commercial version of the song. You’re right that it doesn’t make much sense out of context but it’s probably the darkest bluegrass song I’ve ever heard. I’m not sure how that is colored by the previous knowledge of what it’s about. So many fascinating rabbit holes.

And Now For Something Completely Different

It’s definitely a small tusk. No clue what it came from.

And Now For Something Completely Different

Fascinating read BTW and that song as well. How a child comes to,learn that song must have a story. I’d love to hear it.

And Now For Something Completely Different

The cap is solid. It must vent from somewhere. I’m out of the country at the moment but I’ll investigate further when i get back. It honestly hasn’t been out of the box for years and I haven’t investigated how it works.

And Now For Something Completely Different

There are a couple of elements of the pipe in question that don’t exactly fit just perfectly here so I took the liberty of clearing this post with management ahead of time. I hope you will find it interesting. Many years ago, would have been mid 90’s, I had an opportunity to visit Astley’s in...

Ascorti: How Do They Stack Up?

I have a few and they all smoke well. Probably my second favorite brand behind the Savinelli Autograph.
