How Did Pipe Shapes Get Their Names.

Cutty pipes were popular with sailors and one on the sailing ships was called a cutter. :?:

    Mini?

Meers are tougher then most give them credit for but if you want a small pipe then look at Ropp pipes, Savinelli Petites, Peterson builge or calabash. I have a few tiny meers and a couple peterson calabashs that are great for a 10-20 min smoke.

    Couple of Old Girls Redone

I did the clean up and had the stem cut by the repair guy at my local B+M.

    Couple of Old Girls Redone

Matching Your Pipe With Your Clothes.

My only suit is a black three piece and it works as most of my rotation are meers so the black and white works. If I was to match my everyday clothes to my pipes I'd be wearing a lot of tweed. lol

    what's your favorite clencher?

The top three meers are among my favorite clenchers and are the perfect sizes and weights for clenching. I have a couple of Medico Varsity pipes that make great clenchers as well, but the very best clencher I have is a BigBen Barbados egg that hangs about as perfect as a pipe can for me.

Mock Peck For A Tin Of Dunbar

While I would never slam such an upstanding individual as Peck 8O I would have to agree with him that a phone with a Blackberry keyboard and Iphone OS would rain supreme as a mobile phone. I had a BB Passport for a while and loved it..... and would probably still have it if there were as many...

Old meers are still what they used to be!

Great old Meer Fish! Both are beauties and nice to see that Simon doesn't get every cutty! lol I have an old girl getting fitted with a new stem as we speak and looking forward to have it in my rotation of meers.

    Peterson Tankard Pipe

I got a tankard on a trade with a P-lip but liked the shape so much that I had my guy at the local B+M cut me a new stem about an inch shorter and fishtail. Great pipe and amazingly light for clenching.

    Oldest Pipe You Smoke

I've got a tiny CPF Oompaul from around 1905 that is a great flake pipe.

Remembering Freddie Mercury in a very special way

Queen's performance at Liveaid in 1985 was arguably one of the best concert performances ever.

I Wear The Pants In My Family!

My wife told me I could wear anything I wanted for our wedding as long as it was a black suit.

    She Says I'm Not Normal!

Still water is boring but I could sit with a pipe and watch the ocean roll or a brook babble for hours. In fact I'll be spending the first week of November sitting in Mexico doing just that.

    Rattray's P&TAD

Nice Zulu. Bagpiper's is a tasty smoke and an awesome aromatic.

    Morta smokers, report please

One day I'll get my hands on a small morta cutty.

    meerschaum stem repair possible?

They should be able to sand it flush and cut new threads for the tenon.

    Pipe Pushers / Proxy PAD

Nice meer! Most meers color in the shank first as that is where most of the juices end up resting.

    Belt Pouch?

Jesus Cosmic...... That's a hell of a selfie!! lol

    Belt Pouch?

Goggle "Sporran"...... Traditional leather pouch worn with a kilt but there are several that will go onto a belt and they would be the perfect size for a round tin, a lighter, tool. etc.

Anyone know what this is? Was told it breaks in meerschaum pipes

Supposedly a coloring bowl is use so that the pipe takes color faster due to the fact that it will build no cake in the pipe itself. The more cake you have built up in your meer the slower the "juices" will permeate the bowl material so by using the coloring bowl you will color faster...... at...
