    Sunset and Combine

Just spend some time sitting on a bench, with my son, under a blanket to keep warm, with a cup of tea, watching the combine and the baler and the tractors, listening to Oasis. Better than watching telly.

    Sunset and Combine

Cracking sunset tonight. And a Combine harvester makes it even better.

    Today's Hike - Thread

One of my local beaches. Only about 20 mins away. Llangrannog. Fantastic pizza. I even saw a pipe smoker and said hello. Sadly full of holiday homes. The locals cannot afford to buy them these days. Only one Welsh speaking family left there. If there is sufficient wind tomorrow, I hope to...

    Today's Hike - Thread

It might be nice to post pictures of interesting or pretty places where we have hiked. This is my effort from today. We walked from Porthgain to Abereiddi (Wales). Then visited the UK's smallest city, St David's and went to see the cathedral and then went for Fish and Chips. Porthgain used...

America's Cup 2024: who likes it?

I think this video is appropriate to post here. Explains things

America's Cup 2024: who likes it?

Thanks for posting this. It was nice to see Britain win something. The wind speed and boat speed stood out for me on this graphic.

America's Cup 2024: who likes it?

I don't think searching Louis Vuitton cup is fool proof either. These are very expensive cups and saucers.

America's Cup 2024: who likes it?

I won't remember the word "Louis Vuitton" or be able to spell it if I did :)

America's Cup 2024: who likes it?

I have to zig zag downwind on my catamaran. Because its faster. By zig zagging I would get to the downwind mark faster than a boat that went in a straight line. By zig zagging I generate apparent wind which I can use. Think of driving a car at 70mph and sticking your head out of the window...

    Hearing Problems?

I'm 46, my left ear has developed a hearing loss. Just genetic I think. I've been offered a hearing aid, but turned it down, much to the annoyance of my wife (an audiologist). The world seems loud enough as it is without amplification. I will probably end up with a hearing aid at some point...

    This Lady Made My Day

What is this tobacco that attracts ladies in Mercedes? Its about to become popular I think.

    Yum Sweet Corn

Personally I can't stand sweet corn. I wish I did like it. I just don't. They are not the worst thing I've ever eaten. Peas and sweetcorn together are tolerable with other veg and gravy. But personally I would prefer it if the sweetcorn wasn't there and the difference was made up with more...

Was I the First Adopter of Electric Vehicles on this Forum?

I went to the car museum in Beaulieu last week. There was a Sinclair C5 there. It was very small and so low. Imagine putting a seat on a skateboard. I think the Peel P50 and Jeremy Clarkson's "P45" were both better options. Both of which were in the museum.

    Favorite Youtube Channel?

Drachinifel (for ships and naval history) Rex's Hanger (for aircraft) Ed Nash's Military matters (mostly for aircraft)

    What are You Reading Now?

I think Redwall was the worst of the lot, but only because it was the first. There was the occasional mention of human type things, a town, a dog, a cat, chess, a horse pulling a cart. The overall story and the writing was excellent, as it is in all the other books. I enjoyed reading it...

Paris is the Most Beautiful City in the World

Doesn't beat St Davids in Wales. The UK's smallest city. There are barely any shops so my wife doesn't spend all day shopping. Its very close to the beach and some magnificent coastline. You can visit, see everything, have a coffee and leave in an hour. Nice cathedral. No stress driving in rush...
