Ok, I should have explained. As soon as you put the fresh apple slice in the tobacco it starts to decompose (rot). All that sugar combined with a dark, moist environment is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. This bacteria can transfer to the tobacco you're going to smoke, which ain't...- searock

Chero: I can tell by your pic you're from the same generation I am and you, like me, probably heard about the apple slice thing years ago. It sounds quaint, but it really isn't a good idea to put "rotting fruit" in your tobacco. :x Just a litte spritz of water will do nicely.- searock
